Right now Sinclair is our best player and would be leading the B&F from Crouch (comfortably)

Jeez I like Lienert. Watched him live against the Tigers last week & he was super poised. Backed it up again today. What a sensational pick.

Agreed I said it during the game, he has been an inspired choice. His kicking game is perfect for our game plan and I can't believe Port delisted him.

Because they are f****** idiots. He was brilliant down back today. Definitely a diamond in the rough.

No f****** way. There is absolutely nothing wrong with what he did. He can't get suspended for that

Maybe not. Commentators seem to think he is gone.
They are just dickheads. Ryder just stood his ground with him arm tucked in. The other guy ran into him.

The replay shows that Ryder didn’t connect with his head or chin.

Just because Will didn’t brace himself is not Paddy’s fault. Nothing malicious or careless or reckless.

Will’s head went back and he definitely suffered whiplash but the vision from down the ground shows Paddy shirtfronted him and totally missed the head

I agree with you, but the AFL might see it differently since the other guy was concussed. Funny game if you aren’t allowed to stand your ground. Ryder had come to a complete stop

This probably needs its own thread. I’ll start one later if no one else does

Why was Webster the guy contesting against Lewis?
He guards space, has soft hands, lopes and won’t commit his body to the contest. Luckily he’s surrounded by quality players.

Technically it’s a bump but he stood his ground abs braced himself. He probably could have avoided it if he really tried. Close call.

If you compare Paddy's bump to the wet toasts Rioli in rd1 then there's no case to answer
But as a St kilda supporter I know that he'll probably get 2 weeks down to 1 with the early plea.

Add Hunter Clark and Zak Jones to that midfield and all of a sudden it's looking quite formidable again. :)

I am LOLing at Hawthorn.
Hopefully we repeat the dose at Marvel in Round 20.

The Hawks supporters today were absolutely stunned.

15 possessions (7 contested), 2 goals, 5 tackles and 8 score involvements is a pretty good afternoon for any permanent small forward.

Yes, the commentators are all over it. They think there may be a case to answer.

However, you are allowed to stand your ground and brace as far as I know.

Will be an interesting one. I’m convinced there was absolutely no malice in it. The other bloke simply ran into him.

What were Paddy’s other options? To bravely run away?
Agree 100 % stopped and braced himself- he wasn’t moving when the collision occurred - the commentators kept talking about new rules (?!) - are there new rules in place this year ? (Genuine question) otherwise how is that worse than the hit that broke Clark’s jaw last year ?

Just saw the highlights - fantastic performance.

I’d forgotten Tom Mitchell was still playing in the afl. He’s anonymous these days lol

Fantastic win. When's the last time we torched a team like that?
Fantastic attacking footy but defended well when we had too.

Still have Jones, Billings and Clark to come in. Ratts has figured out a few players best postions and team is working hard for one another.
Jack Sinclair is going past A grade into Elite category. His numbers would be Top 5 in the comp ATM. Still all the press will be about Gresh, King and rightfully Hill (who played his best game for us).
Kudos to the young guys. Thought both showed a bit today.
Great team win. Hopefully we can back it up again against Suns who'll be up and about after today's win.

I'll go to bed with a big smile on my face tonight.

Go Saints!!!

After a game like that we should stop dreaming about a flag and just go for it. Next season, just like tomorrow, never comes. So why wait?????
