King needs to move, and the players upfield need to kick it so he marks on the move. Hays or Windhager in the team does not alter that.
Agree with that. It should be pretty obvious to all that long bombs to a stationary Max King is not the way forward.

Let's hope we don't see a repeat of it ever. He has to move and we need other options presenting to give him space in which to operate.

Looking forward to seeing Windhager. He seems quite a prospect.

Or….If you’re Tom Hawkins, just stand behind your opponent, extend your arms fair square in the middle of their back as the ball floats in and mark it uncontested by cheating …. However, make sure you play on before ANY umpire up the field decides to reverse the decision

Cyclops mong has form in the cheating space. He’s very good at sucking in field umpires and GOAL umpires

All this is true but a long kick, under pressure, into the F50 will always happen. Max & Members may be ignored or have leading space eaten up. This is where another tall, a resting ruck or Hayes, can at least be there to compete and not let an intercept defender, like Sicily take an uncontested mark.

All sides bomb the ball in, sides will do it more than others if forwards do not separate from each other. We have been guilty of that. Our last quarter last week shows what can happen when our running game gets on top and our forwards work together.

We scored 18 goals from only 49 inside 50’s

And also 9 behinds. A 55% score ratio per inside 50 entry!

You won’t see us be that efficient again this season

Even Brisbane only went at 53% when they destroyed Norf by over a hundred points!

i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.

Those stats would indicate that the forward structure was working quite well.
