Gerald Healy
Two things regarding Gerald Healy
1 why would we want to play Max King in the ruck and around the ground like Luke Jackson as he suggested last night and today when we can play him at full forward like Max King and
2 last year he had a crack at us for not picking Sinn instead of NWM, he obviously went early like a flog so ima do the same
Sinn, disposals 11, kicks 5, handballs 6, 54% disposal eff, 3 marks and 0 tackles SuperCoach 24 points
NWM, disposals 13, kicks 10, handballs 3, 53% disposal eff, 4 marks and 2 tackles SuperCoach 53 points
If he wants to go early and say stupid stuff I can go early and say stupid stuff with stats to back it up

Re: Gerald Healy
Healy grew up a Saints supporter and his bias was obvious today. Fremantle supporters would be livid.

Re: Gerald Healy
Healy has made a very good living commenting on football since his playing days and he's still doing it, he must be ok at it.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: Gerald Healy
Healy is a chump. He rarely brings any insights as a special comments caller. Very few of the fans seem to care for him, either. Not sure how he hasn’t been put out to pasture already.

One of the only commentators in our corner.. he's the last 'expert' I would rag on...
Celebrating NWM over Sinn from one game is just silly

Not as silly as saying we were wrong to take NWM over Sinn back last November

Re: Gerald Healy
I wouldn’t have a clue
Sinn was another fast HBF wasn’t he? I thought the one Essendon took looked a ready made mid. Hobbs? Maybe I’d be tempted by him. Must say tho I’ve liked what I’ve seen of NVM…and he’s such a skinny kid, imagine when he fills out
Frankly he’s quicker than I thought he’d be
Tougher than I thought he’d be
Stronger in the air than I thought he’d be
And his kicking speaks for itself
Let’s just hope he develops the potential at St Kilda!

Is Gerald Healy a Father son prospect?
St Kilda should never trade with Essendon and Sydney ever again!!!

Re: Gerald Healy
I love being petty. Once again but now after 3 weeks
1 why would we play Max King in a Luke Jackson role when we can have him at full forward doing Max King things and
2 NWM playing and playing well and Sinn can’t get a game for Port

Re: Gerald Healy
I just think calling him Gerald sums up your feelings Goose.
I agree that Max does not need to be Jackson, both very good players but if Max can stay forward he remains more threatening than anything he might do in the ruck.
I also liked the look of Sinn prior to the draft but am liking the look of NWM plus Aeon wanted him, good enough for me.
Will be interesting to track their careers, I'm not sure anyone can really crow about their 2021 draft picks in comparison to another clubs. That said, I think we will be looking back fondly at our haul.

Re: Gerald Healy
I would’ve taken Sinn personally
I am conservative when it comes to Draft Selections
3 solid good footballers from Sandy would’ve done nicely IMO
I am concerned about the build of Nasiah and his contested game
But
If he develops he has a highest ceiling than Sinn

Re: Gerald Healy
I was going to leave this alone because it is silly.
But
King being King is better than king being Luke Jackson and
NWM has absolutely exceeded my expectations this season. He is so clean by hand and foot and doesn’t fumble. Im very comfortable we didn’t take Sinn even if Healy thought we deserved a whack on draft night

Re: Gerald Healy
I thought we were keen on Hobbs?
Would NWM be getting a game for either Port or Essendon now?

Hobbs is a really good footballer, great junior career, solid, tough reliable.Goose is king wrote: ↑Mon 11 Apr 2022 8:33amIt went

You'd back him in to play 200 games.
Could be a Joel Selwood type, the biggest issue for us and others passing him by was speed IMO.
I think with Crouch, Ross, Bytel, Steel we probably wanted a point of difference and NWM skill and kicking appealed.

Hobbs too similar in size, lack of pace to what we already have.
Sinn a very good prospect but we’ve drafter too many flankers hoping to turn them into mids.
NWM just what we need, has skill, poise, silk and weights his kicks beautifully!!
