It's a very long time since we had someone near the top like that.
Who was the last?

In early 2020 and probably right up until the middle of the year Butler was top 5 if I recall correctly

He had a brilliant season and was named in the AA squad of 40

Saw this the other day and had a bit of a chuckle with Max on 9 goals after 3 rounds .
1 . Cos he's missed some easy ones and probably should 13 or 14 . And
2 . Cos i remember plugger .
Early 90s when he kicked 127 goals in 17 games . He missed some of the early rounds but in his first three games kicked 10 + goals
Would be most enjoyable to see a st kilda forward kicking big bags each week. Hopefully Max can be that forward.

I seem to remember Plugger kicked 34 goals in 3 consecutive matches.
He did it twice in his career.

He returned in about round 6 of 1991 v Adelaide and kicked 12. Them he kicked 10 and 12 in the following two games.

Round 7 1991.

Winmar also returned that round after being suspended for 10 weeks due to a Brereton racial tirade.

Looking forward to the next no 7 to gun full forward dynasty.

I thought Coleman Tally was going to be a mid seaon draft prospect.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?
