Other Clubs do it....
First post in a few years from me
Read Saints forum daily and enjoy the comments and banter.
2 rounds in....many other teams are not afraid to drop big name/recruits players as a statement of what is required to represent their club and drive standards to maximum levels.
Kent in Sharman out?
Maybe Kent has the energy and desire at training but less talent than others, if so then pick him to play his guts out.
Long has a go
Hayes gives a lot
anyway...big names get dropped by other clubs
ie Dalhaus Treloar Ricaardi Brander Finlayson
with a "earn your right to represent your club and give 4qtrs of commitment"
I hope from this week on that Ratts can inspire our players chosen, to give us supporters a 4 qtr effort
Not 2/3 but a start to finish full game effort.
Apart from Dal and Milne? when did we lastake a selection statement..,
If we flog the Tigers by 8 goals because we had at least 8 goal scorers, I will probably wait another 10 yrs to post.....GO SAINTS

Kent, IMO, should never play another game for us, no matter how hard he tries. Has shown over multiple seasons he is not up to scratch at senior level.

Re: Other Clubs do it....
Perhaps Cooper is competing with King, Membrey, Wood and to a lesser extent Hayes, so finding it hard to replace those guys and he needs to play some football, therefore VFL. Also Ryder back. His chance will come as injuries happen and form fluctuates. Don't really see Cooper and Kent in the same selection conversation one on one because they are different types.
Kent: my first thought was either a red herring or one of Higgins and Butler is carrying an injury and we don't have a stock of that type.
Re what other clubs do: it is difficult for us to drop our big names. Hanners is hardly ever available for 2 in a row, and Hill is doing ok. Other big names: King a match winner. Marshall same same. Steele's worst is still pretty damn useful. And we won in Perth, difficult to change a winning side?

See emmdee this is why we need new blood, posters like Stinger used up all his words long ago, he's only got rolly eyes left to articulate himself. It's a shame really because if he could use his words he could explain why he's responding to my posts after claiming he put me on ignore.
You really do amuze me Stinger. Don't ever go changing you cooky ole fart.
