No, St Kilda couldn't afford the headlines he brings.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

SunnyErnie was postulating that Membrey had trade value at the end of the year

If the contract had behavioural clauses that benefited us, then why not. We need X-factor!

As a player, without question, yes!
As a person, without question, no!

Based on the initial response to my message - I am afraid s/he/they were not being sarcastic with the initial postThe Fireman wrote: ↑Tue 29 Mar 2022 10:25amaaahhh bit behind with subliminal signalling well I hope sunny was being sarcastic.Sainter_Dad wrote: ↑Tue 29 Mar 2022 10:16am/s = sarcasmThe Fireman wrote: ↑Tue 29 Mar 2022 10:02amI just couldn't part with the Members.Sainter_Dad wrote: ↑Tue 29 Mar 2022 9:58amYeah - straight swap for Membrey /sSunnyErnie wrote: ↑Mon 28 Mar 2022 9:58pm And if yes, would you offer $900,000 by 5 years?

Re: Should we try and get De Goey as a Free Agent???
I think the absolute last thing part of the list I would spend any more resources on is the forwards
King, Membrey, Higgins, Marshall + Ryder (resting), Hayes, Sharman, Butler, Gresham, Wood, Kent, Billings, Long… and resting/developing mids
+ Battle can make the switch too if needed
Look elsewhere

I'll go one step further and say that if we don't start hearing the number one priority for the club over everything -- and I mean everything -- is bringing in A grade midfielders then I'll be calling Grant Thomas and the Dentist myself to demand they bring in the happy gas and the largest set of extraction forceps available.skeptic wrote: ↑Tue 29 Mar 2022 11:26am I think the absolute last thing part of the list I would spend any more resources on is the forwards

Blind Freddy on a drunk pony knows it, it's time the club got busy and got said midfielders in the door.

The guy is a complete grub, why would you want him anywhere near our club? Absolutely not!!!
There will be other players available at seasons end who can provide asimiliar out put to De Goey without off field the problems.

Re: Should we try and get De Goey as a Free Agent???
It is interesting as to why St Kilda is always mentioned with De Goey. Is there any reason or is St Kilda just the easy fit for lazy journos & lazy player managers?

Would ask about him why not should he be available and keen to look at offers from other clubs.
Perhaps put up Billings as an offer to the Pies.
BOOM BOOM

If he’s a Free Agent
Why would we give anything to the pies?!
How does one in and one out improve the team

I would prefer to keep Billings, not trade in some filth deadbeat.

Are you impersonating Ugly Dave Gray??
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.
