Re: Zak, where art thou?
Lethlean said Zak was granted a leave of absence to focus on his personal health and wellbeing. He did not say it was a mental health concern.

The danny frawley wellness centre needs a KFC outlet!
God knows when I'm a bit down , a trip to the dirty bird always lifts my spirits.

Re: Zak, where art thou?
Ok. Zac has issues surrounding his mental health. We knew this when we recruited him. Those issues require him to step away from the game for periods of time. It is not his fault and I'm sure he wishes he didn't have this illness. He needs empathy not admonishment. The Linton Street Flash wrote: ↑Mon 21 Mar 2022 6:58pm I know I'll get shouted down for this but FFS Zak Jones, where are you?
What could possibly be so wrong that you can't get on the park to play the game that so handsomely rewards you?
I heard your brother on the radio this afternoon stating that while you were "tracking well" or something, and "keeping up with training" - he had no idea when you would be able to get back on the park...??
I'm sorry, but I don't get it - you can train, but you can't face playing - huh?
Obviously I'm missing something, but what is it? is it something about the other guys? something they said? something about Ratts? something about the sound of the crowd? the colour of the grass? the cooling March air? what?
...the silence is deafening!
Ok, I might be a dinosaur here, and I may just be the last surviving one on the planet, but the way I see it, you've got a commitment to this club, to your teammates, to your fans, to be out there playing.
This clubs midfield is flat, stodgy and one dimensional, with only a few players who offer anything akin to a point of difference, so to have one of those few - probably the most dynamic of the lot, the guy who came to the club with such huge expectations, who's teased us with glimpses of superb form without any real continuity, finally get fit, and then go missing, it's bloody hurts!
I know we're all softly softly with anything where "mental health" is mentioned, and I'm a Neanderthal for daring to say anything, but come on matey - this team, this club, these fans, need you - now!
We've got a huge month ahead and the number 3 needs to be out on the park.
Where are ya fella?
Move on.

This could be a blessing in disguise. The extra layoff could be the exact thing he needs to get over his soft tissue injuries.damienc wrote: ↑Sun 27 Mar 2022 12:02pmOk. Zac goes in hard and gets belted often. I’d be taking a break as well. His team mates rarely remonstrate after he is belted.

Re: Zak, where art thou?
Training reports say he was in the main group recently, apparently down on fitness as he was heaving and taking a lot of big breaths, appeared to be tiring quickly

Re: Zak, where art thou?
One thing for sure... there is nothing wrong with his physical fitness.
He was a standout during the practice games.
He had energy and zip to burn.
So, round 7 it is, then. Or, so it seems.

Re: Zak, where art thou?
Hopefully we don't lose any games, or too many, before his return. He is a very creative player. And he finds a lot of the ball. Very important player for us.
Your friendly neighbourhood samurai.

He's on the money. You're either a troll a d**khead or all of the above. You're also very immature.
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Re: Zak, where art thou?
The question is - if he's fit who would he replace in the current 22. Long maybe if Higgins and Butler fill the small forward roles. He's be stiff though based on his last two games.
