I am so bored of watching us gift them goals through errors

Garbage
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Those calling for kids to play instead of senior players
Byrnes and Owens haven’t got near it
Almost 2 down in the middle

We are very ordinary. How is it that teams always score against us in the last 2 minutes of a quarter?
Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

Re: Match Thread Rd 1 vs the Filth
Second quarter probably a bit better than the first, but that’s not saying much.
Can’t pick many winners for us anywhere on the ground. Our mids / smalls have been pretty much invisible.
King has looked dangerous, Marshall has done some good work around the ground, but that’s about it.
Pretty much just a continuation of 2021 mediocrity if you ask me.

It still looks like we lack that ability to stand up when the opposition is trying to take the game away from us.

Forwards standing still.
No-one leads, ever.
Big roost to a contest the only option every time.
It's been going on the years.

Re: Match Thread Rd 1 vs the Filth
Marshall is a big bodied ruck rover, a 2nd ruck. Plays a very good running game but will not help us win centre clearances. Our middle of the road midfield needs an A grade tap ruckman.
It's a joke how important Ryder is to our improvement.
Max Heath must be fast tracked.

Re: Match Thread Rd 1 vs the Filth
Too short, too weak and too unskilled. They try hard enough but that's about all. I saw Roma kick the ball backwards 40 metres twice. It wasn't a switch to the other side in either case. Dunno what sort of game plan that is. We should be running - always pushing forward (see Melbourne), but slow players find that hard. Our handball - the easiest skill to learn - is woeful.

Re: Match Thread Rd 1 vs the Filth
Another year and the same problem over and over.
Yes we have injuries, again plus one player who shouldn't be on the list because he can't get on the park.
Another year of disappointment.

Sinclair
Higgins
Kent
Butler
Gresham
25 possessions between them
IMO that’s the problem. That’s supposed to be our polish and speed.
Steele is Steele
Hill and Ross are trying
Membrey has struggled but worked hard
King’s game would look incredible if he was 3.0 instead of 1.2… presented all night
Marshall and Crouch are solid
Wilkie is a General
We need some polish and speed

Re: Match Thread Rd 1 vs the Filth
Yep.
Marshall and King are a long-term injury waiting to happen if we continue to just kick it on top of their head repeatedly and let them get smashed.

Re: Match Thread Rd 1 vs the Filth
All of it. I'll agree with you at the end of the game if Collingwood wins by more than 5 goalsdesertsaint wrote: ↑Fri 18 Mar 2022 9:05pmWhich part?
