Re: Crystal Ball on Billings
Oh. OK. Our forum whipping boy this year was going to by the unlucky Nick Coffield before injury cut him down.
Looks likely now to out of a toss up between Seb and Jack.

I dunno mate.
Swallow..
I checked Wikipedia
All I can see is co-captain 2019-2021
178 games
I guess ‘pretty good’ is the verdict.
Can you imagine JB a co-captain?
I’ll check his SuperCoach value now..just to show how smart I am!
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

Re: Crystal Ball on Billings
I just had a look at Billings 2021 stats when he rotated between the wing & HFF. He averaged 20 disposals and 1.9 tackles per game just 0.6 takles inside F50 ranked 175th in comp (Butler was ranked 8th). His career average of 2.7 tackles per game are still rated as 'below average' for a midfielder.
His career marking stats are 5.1 and last year he averaged 6.3 which are both elite. He is not a great over head mark, so basically what is says is he a good link up wingman and uses his aerobic capacity to work free of his opponent.
His career goals kicking are 108 goals and 116 behinds = 45% accuracy.
His stats over 8 years suggest he is a below average pressure player. He is not a reliable shot on goal and the goal kicking yips are why Richo moved him away from the HFF role. With this history/stats in mind you wonder why the club (Ratts) are trying to turn him into a full time HFF again?
Perhaps they hope to use him as a hit up link option going into the F50, but he will need to work a lot harder when the ball is turned over if he is to help the team.

Re: Crystal Ball on Billings
Billings does appear to be a bit mentally soft, probably due to struggling with niggling injuries, unrealised potential and his appalling accuracy rate in goal kicking.
Going through the motions, carrying an injury and playing to half your potential, doesn't make you tough, it makes you a high priced draftee who isn't working out the way he should. Everytime he actually gets going, he falls over.

Nah, disagree. Why make the f****** drug cheats any stronger, even if, and I said IF, either of those sides showed any interest.

Re: Crystal Ball on Billings
I know they have said he will play forward this year and I think that’s his last chance. The wing/forward/everywhere role he played last year is Mason Woods to lose as far as I’m concerned

Re: Crystal Ball on Billings
Cho wanted to keep all his players...
Weller, Newnes and Lonie and Dunstan... Paddy McCartin (he's a ripper Paddy!!)
Cho gifted games to McCartin while playing Tim Membrey in the Reserves
He didn't want Tom Hickey but he loved Billy Longer
Billings has been above average in his last 3 years with his set shot goal kicking.
He's kicked 38 goals and 30 behinds ( 2019. 2020 . 2021)
I agree he was poor before that
