not so bad. a wins a win. good for the youngsters.
a couple of injuries. just gives an opportunity for someone else. neither player is crucial to our success.

Injury to Clark does not look good....4-6 weeks if he is lucky and its just an ac joint, , 6-8 or longer if humerus head

So you think both Billings and Hunter are not crucial. Seriously no idea. Both easily in our top 12 playersdesertsaint wrote: ↑Sat 05 Mar 2022 9:50pm not so bad. a wins a win. good for the youngsters.

Ffs so hunter Clarke gone for a month or two.l, coffield the Sean’s and I am unsure about billing’s. we just can’t take a break.
Besides that kudos to rattan for playing roles to give them a taste and they now know the step up required. But seriously we need a new plan to get the ball into their 50

Hunter looked really good tonight too.
Just got cleaned up in a tackle again...not dissimilar to the Crows match last year.
He was in our best 3 or 4 on the ground.

DMac and Byrnes will likely take those spots and while they are solid, it is a class level down in skills

neither crucial. only a few players are crucial - roma, steele, wilkie, howard, membrey, ryder, hill, max (those last two we need to become crucial if we're to play finals, sincs on form is probably crucial). every team has a few injuries. good teams rise above it due to fewer crucial players on their list. if billings and clark are crucial players we aint a top 8 team.

Most shoulder dislocations require a reconstruction, which will be the end of his season. Some players can play through it with strapping, but I doubt they will risk further injury.DJ Higgins wrote: ↑Sat 05 Mar 2022 10:07pm Ffs so hunter Clarke gone for a month or two.l, coffield the Sean’s and I am unsure about billing’s. we just can’t take a break.

Re: Essendon Game thread
Hunter, Coffield and Billings fit and in form would take us up to the next level.
While the other players I agree are crucial to making us competitive , these three are in the age and experience range that make us finals contenders.
Dmac, Byrnes, Connolly, and then the new recruits are good depth.
Fortunately Gresham and Paton returned and looked very good.

Re: Essendon Game thread
By default only, because Ryder and Jones are already injured you might add Billings at 14 instead of Ross but I'd give up Billings and Clark before any of these for the rest of the season:terry smith rules wrote: ↑Sat 05 Mar 2022 10:02pmSo you think both Billings and Hunter are not crucial. Marshall
Steele
Howard
King
Ryder
Wilkie
Membrey
Sinclair
Gresham
Crouch
Jones
Hill
Paton
Ross.
Wood looks more than capable of replacing Billings and while Clark definitely has a future, he is closer to the 17-22 range with
Webster,
Mackenzie
Higgins
Battle
Byrnes.
IMHO.

Re: Essendon Game thread
Coffield, Jones, Clark, Ryder, Billings clearly best 22
I'd like to add Hannebery but...it's not 2015.
Paton & Gresham back is great but we are no closer to having 22 of our best 26 players on the park.
There are opportunities & glimmers of hope.
Wood played well again.
Hayes is a good selection.
NWM will get early exposure.
Can't wait to see Owens & Windhager after half a season in the VFL.
Marshall looks cherry ripe.
Webster & Sinclair have kept their standard.
Hill has found his position for St Kilda (now to see how he & Ratten handle the inevitable tag).
Very bullish about a forward line with King, Membrey and Sharman in it - surprised Sharman only got just over a quarter.
Byrnes will be a vital point of difference now with Clark & Jones out.
Higgins needs to step up in the middle, in my opinion.

Right humerus, 1 screw in the right shoulder, part of the humerus to which the tendon that raises and lowers the arm connectsBanger9798 wrote: ↑Sat 05 Mar 2022 9:57pm Injury to Clark does not look good....4-6 weeks if he is lucky and its just an ac joint, , 6-8 or longer if humerus head
Left humerus, 9 screws and a metal plate, head of humerus shattered into multiple pieces, the French said I needed to have the head removed and a prothesis inserted but Australian surgeon saved.
Both separate skiing accidents.
Smashed humerus head not 4 to 6 weeks would be at least a full season but more likely never play again.
