Not before we factor in the Covid tax on his upcoming contract.
Don't mention Covid, there's a new Sherrif in town.

I hope our future flag prospects don't hinge on dodgy knees.
Genetic defect? Are you for fu(king real? FFS.

Go look up how Max did his knee - he wrapped it around a goal post playing school footy ... a person with tungsten ACL covered in carbon fibre would've snapped it in that manner. It was more car crash injury than footy.

Genetic defect. Pfft.

I'm quite happy with this being in the St Kilda forum.

Is there any chance those who are sulking about covid infested threads being moved finding actual covid dedicated forums to spew their thoughts, dreams, "research" and insecurities?

Very sad for Ben & hope who ever he choses to play for in the future (I hope it's us but I doubt it) he can get back on the park asap

1 year contract then or did she say 3 years coinciding with his next contract??????
🤷‍♂️
At least 2 years.
So he’ll either sign a one year extension on his current contract, ie wait and see OR sign for 2 years I guess meaning he’ll be up here for 3 more years

I just don't get that, 1 or 2 years? Doesn't sound like he is committed at all. Someone didn't do the maths first.

Was never coming to us. I have close ties to a major club sponsor and the club have been confident in retaining Ben beyond his current contract.

Your sensitivity, anoyance and anger are always amusing to many and way more entertaining than the boring offerings of our resident "Troll Monitor's" 3 word retorts.

Did you see what I did there? I built in a very subtle reference to your new buz term "gaslighting". Enjoy and you're welcome.

Stay sensitive GL, it keeps you interesting...lol.

That may well be the case, but being in Melbourne and around Max etc for a considerable time after surgery may change his mind. He may not come to the Saints, but I would happily wager any figure that he will not be at GCS for his entire career.

IMO GCS will treat him exceptionally well during his recovery & he will feel obliged to stay & will be on very handsome contract that will set him up for life so I doubt he would even consider coming to us even if we could afford him . Still hoping but I don't think it' s gunna happen . Not the end of the world & now that frees us up to target another suitor

Can't see them going out of existence in the next ten years, but if there's a new CEO and new board of the AFL anything goes

You are probably right scollop. I'm guessing the GCS sponsors come via the AFL plus dividends (given to all clubs) by the AFL - at some point, like most professional teams on the GC, someone has to step back and ask whether it's working and whether the money is better spent elsewhere.

Hey don't be getting too cocky Stinger, I know as a janitor you have cleaned a lot toilets but that doesn't necessarily make you a shithouse cleaner.
