Ash Barty - The ultimate sports person
If you wanted to have THE ultimate athlete, look no further than Ash Barty.
At the peak of her powers at 25 years of age, she possesses an unbelievable tennis IQ, moves brilliantly around the court, has pretty much every shot in the book, and if all that is not enough, has the humility, pride in her indigenous heritage and is incredibly likeable & articulate.
Summing up, she is a national treasure.

I wholeheartedly agree. Hopefully will be named Australian of the Year down the track.

Immensely impressive young lady and the consumate professional. Great example for any athlete. If only that goofy moron who seems more intent on putting on a clown show and showing off his little trick shots would learn from her.
Also was impressed by DeMinaur.

For two years I have referred to Ash as Australia’s daughter. We all feel so proud of her as if she was our own

A class act in every possible way.
Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

Whether it should be on the footy forum is debatable but what's not debatable is the class & professionalism of the lady. If she goes on to win well great but even if she doesn't I still admire what she brings to the game.

Re: Ash Barty - The ultimate sports person
Read an article yesterday about what a natural ball sports player she is. Her first hit with a cricket bat she was playing textbook shots and when she tried golf her first 18 hole round was 79.
I loved it when she was interviewed after her fourth round match and she said, "I just keep being me. That's who I want to be."
Not so common to find a young person with such a clear sense of who they are and how they want to live. Love her humility as well.

Re: Ash Barty - The ultimate sports person
she did well to win the curtain raiser tonight, but the cereal lads did us extra proud in the main event.

It's refreshing to have such a great sportsperson as our Tennis champion rather than a Cockhead for a change.

Jayne Hrdlicka . Now that's a name begging for a change. Wonder if she drinks.
