He played so well last year so it is possible he wont be as good but as long as he doesnt slide too far Ill be happy. Plus he will have a pre season under his belt so he may even get better

I really liked what I saw with Connolly this year. I was surprised at how quick he covered the ground and he didn't lack confidence. He took the game on and we all know what a great kick he is. I'd love to see him in the team for round one , but now that Gresham, Clark, and Paton will be back, it'll be tough for him to break into the team. He can play small defender or wing and it would be great if he was regularly driving the ball inside forward 50. For a guy who was the third last pick in the draft, I think we've got ourselves a good 'un.

I am hoping that Leo Byrnes and bytel step up. I hope they all get a lot of senior games and that ratten let’s them play a few in a row even if they are not stand outs.

I reckon Byrnes is a lock. Hard working, big tank, quick with neat skills and excellent decision making. He'll be our next high output midfielder.

Probably going to get a bit more attention as well but hey that might just free up Max & Tim to get on the end of a few . He has shown signs that he reads the play well can take a contested grab & can kick pretty straight so I'm bullish about what he can become. Early days but we will see how it pans outDJ Higgins wrote: ↑Wed 08 Dec 2021 8:48pmHe played so well last year so it is possible he wont be as good but as long as he doesnt slide too far Ill be happy. Yes, but he is actually the most natural lead up forward we've seen since Roo....knows when to turn and go, and he clunks and kicks.bangaulegend wrote: ↑Fri 10 Dec 2021 11:30pmProbably going to get a bit more attention as well but hey that might just free up Max & Tim to get on the end of a few . Sure he will get more scrutiny, but then there is Max , would love Sharman to take some heat off him.
