The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: Draft Central Power Rankings
Id be really happy with a draft haul of Sonsie/Goater or Chesser, plus Windhager & Owen. Then perhaps Peris and Kyle as a rookies? It would certainly make our midfield stocks look a lot stronger moving forward. Add those kids to Byrnes, Bytel & Higgins our midfield stocks should be set for several years.

Sonsie, Ward and Wanganeen-Milera are touted around our pick

Good to see our NGA boys not in that top 30. Cal Twomey had Windhager at 25 a couple of weeks back.

Thanks for the link Impatient Sainter.
I agree with the mock draft having Freo recruit Jye Amiss, a WA tall forward. He is the type of player they definitely need.
Amiss did injure his PCL in the SA v WA grand final curtain raiser but i haven't read any articles that discuss the severity of that knee injury.
I don't know much about Josh Rachelle, he's not as tall as some of the other mids, interestingly the article talks about him as a good small forward.

Re: Draft Central Power Rankings
Everybody has us taking Rachelle... who is mostly classed as a FP with excellent skills
But Sonsie and Wanganeen-Millera seem like prospects that we’d be foolish to pass up on IMO

From what I've seen via the internet Wanganeen- Milera oozes class but don't know a lot about him, is he as good as he looks ? If so I would seriously consider him

Agree on Rachelle. I think the club are more likely to go with a pure midfielder in any event.Wayne42 wrote: ↑Sat 16 Oct 2021 8:32pm Thanks for the link Impatient Sainter.

I read a description of Rachele somewhere likening him to Toby Greene.

Re: Draft Central Power Rankings
I like the idea of picking Terry’s son Nasiah. In the videos he looks like a jet. And will fill the void we have of not having father sons to barrack for like everyone else seems to have.
I vaguely remember footage of him in the rooms after a game that I’m sure we can pull from the archives Jack Higgins style if we land him and have it as great PR on the news. Tug on a few heart strings and get everyone invested in our recruits.

Re: Draft Central Power Rankings
Would like a pure mid to partner
Clarke, Gresham, Bytel and Byrnes going forward
So I’d go Sonsie

Agree
Be so disappointed if we take another bloody HFF hoping he can play mid
We need genuine bloody mids not long shot prospects

Re: Draft Central Power Rankings
Chris Doerre's (Knightmare) latest phamtom draft 2 rounds. Note he still has Owens inside the top 20 at 19.

Re: Draft Central Power Rankings
The Saints need skilled outside midfielders with pace. Knightmare has nominated an inside midfielder with apparent weaknesses in the skill and pace departments.

Re: Draft Central Power Rankings
Id be surprised if he got through to us, but if he did it would be a win. Watch his videos he is not slow, extremely powerful and his kicking is fine. He eeks leadership and plays in the Joel Selwood / Travis Boak mould. Melbourne just won a flag playing 3 bulls in the midfield, if you win first possession you dont spend an entire game chasing.

Thanks for the heads up I was only going on what was stated on the site & he sounded like a Luke Dunstan cloneImpatient Sainter wrote: ↑Fri 22 Oct 2021 12:47pmId be surprised if he got through to us, but if he did it would be a win. Re: Draft Central Power Rankings
Drew the same conclusion . Seems to be highly thought of but multiple comments across phantom drafts that he needs to improve his kicking and outside work. At this point still feel we have a need for more speed and classy skills. If he did fall to our pick it could make it interesting for the Saint's recruiting team.bangaulegend wrote: ↑Fri 22 Oct 2021 1:06pmThanks for the heads up I was only going on what was stated on the site & he sounded like a Luke Dunstan cloneImpatient Sainter wrote: ↑Fri 22 Oct 2021 12:47pmId be surprised if he got through to us, but if he did it would be a win. Re: Draft Central Power Rankings
I don’t know… haven’t watched his tapes but this line from the summary:
While Hobbs lacks the kick, speed, athleticism and X-factor of a lot of other top prospects…
Seems awfully limiting for a top prospect

Re: Draft Central Power Rankings
Cal Twomey is far more accurate at predicting the top 30 than Chris Doerre
