Patrick Naish
From Saints TV
Discarded midfielder Patrick Naish says he is holding "pretty positive" talks with rival clubs, having been delisted by Richmond last month. Naish is understood to be attracting interest from St Kilda.

As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

Re: Patrick Naish
Is Jaxons still around for their very accurate inside trade information?
Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

Re: Patrick Naish
Not surprised we might be interested in Naish......we tried to land him in the draft with Pick 34 but Richmond matched the bid

Re: Patrick Naish
Who did we end up selecting with the next pick after they matched Naish?
BTW
Naish also dominated against Sandringham Zebs in a game on TV I watched.
Saints people would have seen that

Outside
No thanks
Isn’t he small also?
Not a critical need
Odd if true

Re: Patrick Naish
Outside runner
Tigers mates don’t rate at all
Why do you think he’s not?
If you can’t win your own ball and run in AFL nowadays you rarely get a look in
See how good Hill was on a wing when no one fed him

Re: Patrick Naish
Because I watched him tear Sandy a new arse one day at TBBO
He played 2 seasons of TAC Cup
Played for Vic Metro
Was an AA U18
Has played in a VFL Premiership
Don’t do any of that if you’re soft - outside runner yes, but you need those players. Langdon from Melbourne is an outside runner.
I think he is worth looking at

I think you’re wrong and he was cut from a good side for good reason
Anyhow let’s hope he’s you’re Langdon and I’m wrong and if so I’ll ask Saynta to apologise to both of us how’s that for a deal?

I have not heard from Jaxons for a long time. I hope he has not left. Saintsational is good at eating it’s own. No need to name the usual suspects.Impatient Sainter wrote: ↑Sat 02 Oct 2021 12:04pm Has he been heard from in recent times? I always thought Jaxons was Ameet Bains...

Did occasionally get things right and tony stuck up for him. So who knows.
Some thought he might have worked for a player manager or was in the press.
Better off having guys like him posting than not though, in my opinion.
At least he was interesting unlike others who constantly post made up s***.

Re: Patrick Naish
Yes, Jaxons was certainly more accurate with his information that just about everyone on this site. Maybe Jaxons just doesn’t suffer fools lightly. I hope we get Jaxons insights through the trade period that the usual dribble wish lists.saynta wrote: ↑Sat 02 Oct 2021 5:51pmClaimed to be an ITK but became abusive if anyone called him out.happy feet wrote: ↑Sat 02 Oct 2021 5:16pmI have not heard from Jaxons for a long time. Re: Patrick Naish
Average 27 possessions 7 marks and 2 goals last year in the VFL, then got a fair run in the 1's without much of a result. If he replaces Lonie, its probably a win for the versatility of the list.

Re: Patrick Naish
None of those top up players were ever recruited for best 22 intentions
They were seen as back ups at best and cost zero
None worked out - no big deal

Re: Patrick Naish
Sorry. Don't agree with any of this.
Naish is only 22 and still learning how to be an AFL regular.
He tears it up in the VFL but was unable to cement a place as a midfielder in Richmond's best 22.
Mind you, Naish was up against serious competition.
His weaknesses are contested ball and his defensive game.
But he acknowledges these weaknesses and is working towards getting better.
Hardwick set him some tasks to improve his game such as putting on more muscle which he did.
So the kid listens and is a worker.
We were into him when Richmond first took him as a father/son in the draft.
He will cost us nothing and worth a punt.

Re: Patrick Naish
Correct
So he can’t win his own ball and is pure outside and not great at that
Oh cause he “tears VFL apart and he’s free” we should take him??? FFS Lonie is a star in VFL ...does t translate to AFL....
I’d rather a player who can win his own footy and run not one that has to be fed or he’s a passenger
