How many games will Carlton win under Voss?
..in 2022?
I am happy that Vossy was picked…..because my low IQ tells me Carlton will be failing..
Good oh..
Ross Lyon would have won lots of games for Carlton me thinks….and stolen points from St Kilda.

Ross baulked at the process, he's no longer creditable.
Fingers crossed Carlton don't make the finals, that will be hilarious.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: How many games will Carlton win under Voss?
Without Cerra they'll need a ready made mid. Not just a gop but a another quality mid that can hit the ground running
If they get Cerra they'll make the top 8
Do I think they are better than St Kilda? No..not really. They'll need luck with injuries
If we have Gresh and Zac and Hunt Clark fit and most of our spine fit and most of the mids fit we'll give the farkers something to think about in 2022

Re: How many games will Carlton win under Voss?
That means Carlton beat St Kilda (again)…bloody again, like late season, Round 17, or something.
How many times have Carlton, after having a dismal season, found a way to beat us, late season, including spoiling Ratts’s honeymoon?
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

10 to 12, and miss the finals. 11 into 8 just doesn't fit. You have the current top 8 plus the Tigers, us and the Blues. I don't think so.

13 and lose their 1st final

Curnow & Cerra coming in will be huge for them & if Cripps even gets back to 3/4 of the player he was their midfield will be potent, defence & ruck are a query but they could improve to between 4 to 8!

Matty Rendell is adamant Blues list should make finals. Also noted a number of its players have regressed. I am hoping for further regression. Vossy just doesn't seem to fit the Carlton elites upper class social status profile. However I believe he is competent when confronted with cutlery for a 9 course degustation so may get by

Loved the tweet, or whatever, put out by Titus O'Reilly to a photo of Vossy's press conference. "Our condolences to Michael's family".

Yeah, Voss is a beer and chips man while the blue arsewipes think they are Champagne, crayfish and caviar.Yorkeys wrote: ↑Fri 24 Sep 2021 11:44pm Matty Rendell is adamant Blues list should make finals. I did say "think".
And I'm hoping that never the twain shall meet.

Dodged a bullet?
Walsh, Cripps, McKay, Curnow, Weitering, Cerra, Dow, Fisher
They have a good list with plenty of upside

About four more than us under Cuddles or anyone else for that matter. They have a good list, could do with a ruckman but can usually field a team without having to include a couple of players that are only VFL standard

Voss Lyon.
Que Cerra, Cerra. Whatever will be, will be.
Couldn't help myself.
Ratten is a better coach and we have a new development team ... so they will finish just below us on 15 wins.

Will play finals despite Voss. I see Carlton & St Kilda as the two new finals sides in 2022. Both sides to win 13+ games, not including finals.

Re: How many games will Carlton win under Voss?
Any guesses are pure guesses at this stage.
No real evidence or data.
But I am worried we'll go backwards and the Blues will finish 2-3 spots above us.
When I say 'backwards' I mean we'll be a bit better than 2021, but we'll still get belted by Dees, Dogs, Bombers, etc.
And all other teams will get better.
So they'll progress more than us.
No real evidence or data.

Re: How many games will Carlton win under Voss?
with a dozen of our starting 22 out they beat us easily. If we aren't decimated by injury again it will be a lot closer.
I think Carlton will win 11 matches and be close in several more. They perform better interstate than us for the most part and can beat Geelong. Maybe ninth next season, I think.

Re: How many games will Carlton win under Voss?
I don't see how we'll go backwards. I can't see the pre-season panning out the same way as last year with the players being so ill-prepared for the season when it comes because the focus was on strategies rather than work on the track. We'll have an easier fixture than last season, and we couldn't possibly have the same number of injuries and players unavailable as last season either.WellardSaint wrote: ↑Thu 30 Sep 2021 12:40pm Any guesses are pure guesses at this stage.

We have a new conditioning and fitness coach, as well as some well credentialled assistants. Ratts is an experienced coach not a rookie, and we would hope to see improvement in the fifty gamers on our list. 2021 was definitely a development year (not be design, but it turned out that way) and we have found some new defenders, a couple of young midfielders incluidng one who started finding the goals by the end of the season, and a new forward who looks very promising indeed.
A lot of our players had interrupted starts to the season, including Crouch, King, Ryder, Jones, Hannebery, Marshall, and Geary, and Paton never played. We never had Roberton as he had retired, and then Frawley got injured before round 1 as well. The beginning of the season was a car wreck and never got going as Gresham went dowwn in Round 3 never to play again, and it took Dunstan time to find form to break in to the side.
Then we finally find a little form and the lockdown arrives right on schedule with several of our most important players becoming unavailable due to compelling family reasons or having to quarantine because they visited a Covid-19 exposure site, thereby ensuring we lost several matches we might otherwise have won. In a way we did very well to win 10 games when you look at it like that.
As for being belted by the Dogs and the Bombers, no way will that happen two years in a row. We'll be ready for them in 2022. Melbourne didn't belt us this year, and haven't belted us anywhere since about 2004.They'll probably beat us though. I'll give you that, but they will be the hunted next year, and that will be a new experience for them.
