How silent have the compliant football media been about Geelong's penchant for topping up with 30+ year olds? Imagine the pile-on had the Saints recruited 32 year-old Shaun Higgins instead of the 22 year-old Jack Higgins!

Update: Max Gawn just kicked his 5th goal, 4th for the quarter, the lead is now 70 points! Choke on you fur balls Pussies.

Geelong were the best team in it before Stewart’s injury.

Cameron 3 possessions, Rohan 1 possession. Pathetic in a prelim.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Geelong haven't kicked a goal in the 2nd half.

Think of me long enough to make a memory.

Remember the pile-on we copped when Melbourne beat us by 18 points in round 2?

Tonight puts that performance into a slightly different perspective.

In 2020, they beat us by three points but we finished one game ahead. They improved and we didn't.

I suspect Melbourne will play Port, who are a very physical side (but that's about all). If Melbourne weathers the storm, they will win easily.

Like them, we have taken a step back and hopefully rise to the occasion next season. Personally I am quite happy we finished 9th. The mental damage the team may have endured by scraping in just to make up the numbers. And, next year, we might be able to watch them live. In Melbourne, hopefully.

Geelong were killing them at halftime just a few weeks back.
What is this game foortball...? I don't get it.

Got me thinking about us getting torn a new one by Essendon and Footscray and Port this year..

How did it happen? Geelong looked cooked!

Not much different from our recruiting policy recently.

Which is why I want it to end immediately.

Hawthorn have made a habit of winning flags that way too.
But it is nice to see Geelong go down...
As a kid I didn't really mind them that much, but as you know...yeah...is there any other team we should be so filthy about? (except Collingwood)

In 2006, we were tracking about the same.... Mutha F#%%&''rs.

2009, not much between us, screw em

Add the Scott factor and you have a nasty pastie..Those pasties which are dry and burnt, and all you get is salt and carbon, plus some too hot potato, and the peas roll out.

Talk about a sour pussy1

I still wonder if Chris Scott might retire, and his retirement may influence Brad's decision about Carlton..

PS..Actually Chris Scott's presser was really immpressive. Respect.

Melbourne aren't all home grown, they chased and paid big dollars for their defensive pillars in Lever & May. They brought in the experienced Hibberd. They also brought in the quick running machine Langdon from Freo. This year they added their key forward in Ben Brown.

So they recruited / traded for 60% of their spine.

I think the majority of our trades have been astute. Hannebery and Hill we paid too much in salary plus draft picks. Hill still has time to make the deal work, Hannebery now is a bonus if he gets on the park. Will go down as a trade bust unless he wins next season's Norm Smith for us.

As I recall, in about 2006 they recruited Robinson & Dank and they got bigger and stronger than us
