Bing just holding onto 10th in the Suns B&F at round 20. Crazy considering how many goals he kicked and how trash they were.
Blake Schlensog 21y.o. 199cm 99kg. Playing in the WAFL after being delisted by Geelong. Highly rated by some draft watchers.
Overlooked in the mid-season draft. Can play back, forward and in the ruck. I'll be watching to see who, if anyone, drafts him at years end.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

His name keeps coming up in dispatches. Has quite a few fans, will be interesting to see what happens for him.....

How is it that Carlton seems to be related to every trade?
How can they have money for Cerra let alone the other players mentioned.
Have not heard a single word about the Saints yet, which I suppose might just be good work flying under the public radar.

We were attached to everyone going around 2 years ago. However, we ended up landing 5 targets, so we pulled it off. And I feel the money may have caught up with us a little tiny bit when we couldn’t fit Trealor in (who in my opinion is exactly what we are missing from our midfield now. So close)
Early days, but I haven’t been hearing much either.
I feel we are going to be quite on the trade front this year. Maybe some pick swaps, but nothing too exciting.
*pauses and waits for that to bite me on the arse when we trade in 3 marquee players this off season*

Hayden McLean (Sydney Swans) has been reported to come to St Kilda - they have cap issues and now with Parker signing a new 2 year deal that could well force any or all of McLean, George Hewett and Jordan Dawson to be traded out.

Otherwise, he is disqualified from the company of competent leaders."

Any good?
Well, I think so, even if BM doesn't. I saw something in the boy.

There is an intricate system of cash in Visy brand brown paper bags. For the really big deals an ambassadorship at Visy will also be announced.

Why is this comment about the 2021 National draft, "In a draft lacking in the way of premier talls" by a renowned draft expert, becoming more prevalent year after year.
What do tall kids do nowadays if less of them play football, or, are a lot of the the ones who do stick it out flawed in one or multiple ways.
If clubs need Key Position players where do they find them if the feeder comps aren't providing them in required numbers.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?
Off the top we need a quick midfielder/ line breaker.
There's couple of young prospects who'd be great if we could get them.
Pick 9 should get us someone very decent, and this draft is strong on midfielders.
Really Iike Finn Callaghan. Very polished. Has all the moves, great overhead and can kick a goal. But probably already taken by the time it's our turn.
Also impressed with Tyler Sonsie. Only a kid but played for Box Hill and in his debut kicked two goals with 24 possessions.
There are a couple of academy prospects, one in particular a Sandy Dragons midfielder named Windhager who looks the goods. We can bid for him if he is not taken before 20 but our total lack of second round picks will make it hard to do anything.

After pick 9 our best is 46.
Have heard similar, and agree that we are somewhat hamstrung with the picks we have (after pick 9). Would not be surprised if we are looking around to try and secure a pick in the 40 or 30's to insure we can secure the NGA boys if we want them. Would expect we were hoping to get some sort of compensation for Dunstan (3rd rounder) if someone picks him up.

I suspect Dunstan figured he was not getting another contract and we knew if another club offered a contract then it would generate bugger all in compensation. Both parties acted in the best interest of Dunstan prolonging his career elsewhere.

Any compo in the range would have been good? Looks more like a mutual
Finn Callaghan
Best position: Balanced midfielder
Height, weight: 189cm, 82kg
Recruited from: Sandringham Dragons
Projected draft range: 1-5
Plays like: Jared Polec
Callaghan is an upside pick given he has grown later than many others. His special sauce is his rare movement for someone his height,
with his agility, evasion and speed respectively special in traffic. If Callaghan develops his aggression and becomes a strong contested ball winner
and tackler, he has the scope to be as good as any in this draft. Callaghan's ceiling which is elevated by his late growth spurt makes him the most appealing after the 'big-3.'
A few "ifs" in that description.

Callaghan is the ultimate high ceiling, low basement prospect where you can see shades of Bontempelli in his game and then moments reminiscent of Karl Amon post-breakout in the same quarter.
What I really like is his combination of size, speed and his execution by foot. He has a great understanding of angles and running lanes and uses this to evade tacklers and create space to execute his disposals.
He does have moments where he seems clumsy in the contest and misses targets by hand. He could be cleaner below his knees and I'd like to see the contested side to his game improve.
I think it will take a few years in the system for Callaghan to pick up the pace of the game and really develop his ball-winning craft but if he does adjust to the level he has the tools to be a real
weapon through the middle of the ground.

We have now lost Frawley & Clavarino, but they found a ready made in Highmore. I think we have to target another tall Talia 29 yo, Schlensog 21yo or Skinner 24yo the ex Brisbane player is apparently going well in the SANFL.
