Herald Sun reporting St Kilda has ruled themselves out of chasing Luke Parker!
Well most likely that Parker has indicated that he is not at all interested in moving to the Saints. Or at least not at whatever range of $/years was run past his manager.

Or maybe, just maybe we weren't chasing him in the first place?
Maybe we re-unite the Crouch brothers
Lose Dunstan and possibly Ross
Try for Talia also (FA)
Use pick 9 (11) on Draper/Rachele
Get Windhager (academy)
Best KPD available for 3rd round pick
Re-sign Billings.
I get that he's in a strong position because of his B&F but jeez 4 years at his age? Even Messi only got a two year deal at PSG.
Very glad we're not on board because it would have been another short sighted decision for me.
Recruit the youth and play them. Make our own parker.
This was my father's belief
And this is also mine:
Let the corn be all one sheaf--
And the grapes be all one vine,
Ere our children's teeth are set on edge
By bitter bread and wine.
The chances of us getting Ben King maybe dependant on how Gold Coast goes next year.
If they have another basket case season, our chances improve, but if they have a much better improved season, he probably will stay.

And I also reckon it could depend n who the coach is in 2023.
Gold Coast's biggest problem is the go home factor not only for Ben, but all the other amazing 1st round talent they have stockpiled so the AF will not want to see it's own franchise club have an exodus of this current core of talent before it has matured enough to have a crack at a flag. The AFL will not want to start another rebuild because it will raise massive question marks about their systems ability to build a club and market on the Gold Coast. There are a few AFL executives betting heavy on the clubs success.
I'll bet my left testicle they will do whatever they can to parachute Clarko into the club for 2023. And that might be all that is needed to stop players leaving.

Do you really think anyone would be interested in winning your left testicle Vortex???

I think you right. Reports are that Parker has re-signed with Sydney for four years. So they must have found a way to get the deal done as expected.
