Re: Finals. AFL. 2021
GWS will need to get their Shite together after half time IF they are going to win, otherwise we will have to put up with one of the Kray Brothers gobbing for another week.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: Finals. AFL. 2021
It's terrible.
GWS are not finals standard
Geelong have several players with flair that Scott's game plan does not utilise.

Re: Finals. AFL. 2021
GWS have done an incredible job if you look at all the injuries they’ve had and the loss of a couple of key forwards in Finlayson and Hogan, not to mention the loss of Toby
I don’t think Geelong played a great game and I don’t think that they will pose a problem to Melbourne. Their two strengths are their forward line and their midfield. I think the Dees have both covered.
Saw an interview with Tim Taranto a couple of days ago
It was on AFL360 and Jack Roo asked him a leading question which I didn’t think Tim would answer but he was pretty honest.
Jack Riewoldt started the question by talking about the game against the Swans and the fact that they only just barely hung on in the the last quarter. Jack spoke about the impact of being away from home for 2 months or more, plus the uncertainty in that time, plus the separation from family and friends, plus the team having to endure an extraordinary amount of travel in the last few weeks.
So…when Jack asked if all these hurdles were taking a toll, Tim stated that some of his teammates were literally ‘physically and mentally’ shot!! Whether he was specifically referring to the last quarter of the game against the Swans or not, I wasn’t expecting to hear those words before they were due to play a Semi Final

Re: Finals. AFL. 2021
All I know is I'm glad we haven't been a serious chance to win either COVID Cup No.1 or COVID Cup No.2.
I know there are a lot of die hards on here who believe the COVID cups shouldn't have an asterisk next to them but they should.
Not only are the results significantly compromised, but the standard of the games are barely VFL.
The game needs crowds and the Grand Final needs the MCG.
I feel for Melbourne supporters.
When we win it there will be 100 thousand rabid fans at the MCG. That's the dream, and that's always been the dream.

If the Dogs beat the Lions tonight I can guarantee the umpires will still be in the spotlight.
I'll be shocked if the free kick count doesn't favour the Dogs even if they lose such is the run they have had with umpires since 2015.

Except that last week the spotlight was on the inconsistencies in favour of the dogs. Might be a shift tonight.Ghost Like wrote: ↑Sat 04 Sep 2021 3:56pm If the Dogs beat the Lions tonight I can guarantee the umpires will still be in the spotlight.

The other fact is that only 3 teams will have won their last game of 2021, St Kilda is one of them. Cannot wait for that last game to be a Grand Final.

Re: Finals. AFL. 2021
Ahhhh - you mean that the after the final series only one team will have won their last game played as the losers have been knocked out - then St Kilda and Adelaide are the only non finalists to have won their last gameGhost Like wrote: ↑Sat 04 Sep 2021 4:27pmMaybe SD but I won't be holding my breath.Sainter_Dad wrote: ↑Sat 04 Sep 2021 4:20pmExcept that last week the spotlight was on the inconsistencies in favour of the dogs. The Dogs and Lions are putting on a great game.
Charlie Cameron is a very handy player, kicking goals at full speed isn’t easy.

Yes, tonight's game is much better than last night's.
Think of me long enough to make a memory.

Umps love for the Doggies still showing though.
Frees 24 to 16 with less than 10 minutes to play.

I hate the dogs soooo much
Just so much
The pissy free kicks they get time and time again
Once again the umps package up the game for them

Re: Finals. AFL. 2021
The influence of umpires in Western Bulldog's matches is a serious blemish on the competition. Particularly finals. It's blatant and it's a disgrace.

Wow, if I was a lions supporter I'd be gutted by that last quarter of umpiring...totally cost them a win

And the fact that their fans are so righteous and boastful of their “dominance”Ghost Like wrote: ↑Sat 04 Sep 2021 11:13pm The influence of umpires in Western Bulldog's matches is a serious blemish on the competition. Particularly finals. It's blatant and it's a disgrace.
