Seb's manager apparently testing the market

Post: # 1923791Post WellardSaint »

Tom Morris says Saints have offer on the table to Ross.
2 yrs with a trigger for 3rd yr, but his manager is trawling to see whether any other clubs are interested.

Tom Morris. Is he a bit out there? What's he like with this stuff?

Has Seb had any offers ?

As for Tom Morris, he churns a lot of stuff, i'm still not sure how accurate he is, if he gets it wrong he doesn't dwell he just keeps churning.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

I reckon he gets more right than wrong.
No doubt, like Caro and Sam McLure, he has sources at a lot of clubs who feed him tidbits (some of which may be the particular Club trying to get a story out)

Tom Morris on Fox didn't mention any prospective suitors, but for me, I think most clubs would be swiping left

Don’t be silly, you’ll offend the we love Seb brigade. He has been great but time to try and see if we can cash in at this stage. Won’t miss those kicks that don’t hit targets lol

I wonder if they’ll be labelling him a disloyal mercenary for trying to leave for more money?

Are we keeping him for depth?

I had to look it up myself (i initially got it wrong so i had to change it haha)

'Left' = leave...think of 'left without taking something'

He actually worked at Moorabbin so would still have some contracts.

In relation to Seb, who would blame him if he saw any of the s*** printed about him on this site and others.

If Seb let something he read here influence his decision making, then he’d be an utter fool

The implication is that he’s unhappy with his offer and he’s fishing around for better ones. True to all things in life, the market will determine his worth. Will be very interesting to see how it all plays out

Most clubs have tight salary caps and most clubs don't need a midfielder like Seb Ross. That's not a criticism of him. I actually think he's been good for us. It's just that he's not the type of player other clubs are looking for. Only The Suns need someone like him, and they're already interested in Dunstan. Take the deal, Seb

The only other one I can think of is Carlton, but with the money they've spent in the past couple of years, and a big cheque coming Adam Cerra's way, it's unlikely

Think the injectors may be interested in him and Ben Long. Family ties and all that.

Seb out Parker in. That’s a big upgrade. Would probably cost us an extra $200,000

The way the article reads is like Billings is more likely to stay than Ross. Ross does scon some kicks, but I would still have him in the side before Billings! I guess it comes down to what they want $$$ wise? Ross winning 2 x past BNF's (poor years) he may think he is worth more than he is?

I have said this before I don't think any one will be throwing the cheque book at Seb & he will probably get a better offer from us than anyone else

I hate seeing former Saints captains running around in enemy colours absolutely hate it. It has happened far too many times for my liking

If he leaves

It’ll be as a dual club champion
1 time runner up
Played 160 odd games
Made an AA Squad
Acting Captain, leadership group for 4 seasons
Played as an inside mid, as a run with, as a wing

Good player, Good team player, quality individual

Show some fkn respect!!!!

I now picture Seb, Josh & Lonie standing ankle deep in water, their agents with for sale best offer sandwich boards strolling waters edge calling "what am I bid".

Would there be any residual fallout hanging around between Seb and the club from the blow-up regarding his choice to not play the Adelaide game?

I don't know, however, I don't think there's any fallout at all.
I reckon the club was more unhappy with Skunk than Ross. At the time.
And Jake missing a game for his partner's birth?
I think the club moved on quickly right after it

What about Battle

Would it be better for both if he finds a new home?
