Yep exactly. Imagine if we lost out to Melbourne. The we can’t attract anyone what’s going we’re rudderless and so on.

And that's worked well for us . Fair enough we need to attract players but both Hill & Hannebery deals have given us a massive hand brake in salary cap pain IMO need to be a lot smarter in recruitment.CURLY wrote: ↑Mon 16 Aug 2021 8:44pmDemand dictates value.bangaulegend wrote: ↑Mon 16 Aug 2021 8:35pmStill payed way overs & he has been solid needs to be better IMO for the money he is on better value than HanneberyCURLY wrote: ↑Mon 16 Aug 2021 7:47pm

So what’s that say about our club when we have a player on our list for years and we couldn’t work out where he would thrive?IluvHarvey wrote: ↑Mon 16 Aug 2021 7:05pmIt's absolutely pointless comparing the Hind who played for us and the Hind that plays for the Drug Cheats.
Hind was never looked at as a running half back for us and if he was still on our list would be used as a back up small forward still.
We haven't lost anything with him going to the Druggies because he would have never had the opportunity to play in the backline, where he is at the moment as Sinclair, Hill and Clark all have the spot over him.
He is also playing better than Hill and Clark, and equal to Sinclair in that role.

Re: Hickey, Bruce and Hind
They’ve had a combined 5 seasons at the club, at a cost of approx $4M+, for a return of maybe ONE top ten B&F finish, and that’s only if Hill manages to Bradbury his way in there this year.bangaulegend wrote: ↑Mon 16 Aug 2021 9:05pmAnd that's worked well for us . He got 30 possessions on Sunday Curly - Hind is playing as well as Sinclair, let's be honest. He's one we definitely should have kept.CURLY wrote: ↑Tue 17 Aug 2021 8:26amHe's not playing as well as Sinclair.The_Dud wrote: ↑Mon 16 Aug 2021 9:40pmSo what’s that say about our club when we have a player on our list for years and we couldn’t work out where he would thrive?IluvHarvey wrote: ↑Mon 16 Aug 2021 7:05pmIt's absolutely pointless comparing the Hind who played for us and the Hind that plays for the Drug Cheats.

Sinclair is doing both which is defending and creating out of the back half.samuraisaint wrote: ↑Tue 17 Aug 2021 9:13amHe got 30 possessions on Sunday Curly - Hind is playing as well as Sinclair, let's be honest. Sinclair in the best in a game v Geelong or running around loose in 12 goal win v GC.

Hind has been beating his opponent and winning the ball.
Not saying he's better than Sinclair but he's definitely one we should have kept

Re: Hickey, Bruce and Hind
I still don’t think the Hill and Hind connection is a very good one
Hill wasn’t keeping Hind out of the team and wasn’t responsible for us trying to play him as a FP or failing to accurately assess his potential
The club is responsible for that all by itself.
We also chose Lonie ahead of him and were stuck with Kent
It seems to be very fashionable to sink the boots into Hill at every opportunity, minimise his good performances and highlight his every mistake.
He’s still a very clear top 22 IMO

Add to that…
I was sad to see Acres go but it’s not looking as though he’s any better or more improved at Freo
It may just be that the Blake isn’t all that good

Re: Hickey, Bruce and Hind
The point I was making is that we've invested so much draft capital and salary cap space to fill a position on the field with Hill when we could have just used what we already had on our list to do the job equally well or better!
Just another example of terrible list management from the club.

Re: Hickey, Bruce and Hind
We received an embarrassing hickey bruise that won't go away and had our hind kicked.

Re: Hickey, Bruce and Hind
We used Hind incorrectly
He is and was always a HB
Played in starvation corner at StK even at Sandy
Who has had the better season
Hind, Hill, Sinclair?

The Bulldogs need all the help they can get.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Do we know what the site was? Do we know if he deliberately went there knowing it was Tier 2?
