Re: Geary - Signed on for 22
You just named who you think is best 22. If I just remove one and chuck Geary in am I right?

Re: Geary - Signed on for 22
You said he’s best 22, I (and many others) said he’s not.
I asked you to name who he’s ahead of in the best 22 and you shirked it.
Like a lot of what you post on here, when asked to supply evidence to support what you claim you go in to hiding.
Not surprising tho.

Stick to bashing umps it’s simplerCURLY wrote: ↑Sun 22 Aug 2021 7:49amTeflon wrote: ↑Sat 21 Aug 2021 2:05pmYep really ordinary call
It tells me this club is not serious and able to make the hard calls to be successful
Amateur hour
Geary has been VERY well looked after
He’s an injury prone GOP but I bet Ratts won’t leave him at Sandy....that would’ve been part of the negotiations
Which means a kid has to sit out
FFS look at the rejuvenation kids have brought to us in a shyte season ??
We are not winning the flag in 22 but I’d be hoping to be starting to seriously chslkeufrom 23 IF we can pump some games into these kids abs draft smart
But no....wasted spot on our list for Geary leadership FFS just get out of the way abs let Steele make his own mark
It reeks of matey mates rates
Just all assumptions and basically garbage. Yeah I will sign but I’m not playing at Sandy. Like seriously do you honestly believe that. Geary gets another year as Geary is best 22 when he’s fit and has proven that.
Best 22....pppffftt...LMAO

Gears has been a great servant & warrior but his body & time is done however if as someone else said because of the soft cap we will be using him as a mentor/Leader/Asst Coach & pretty much 40 th bloke on the list on minimum coin than maybe not a bad idea!

Yep like I posted months ago he was going around again. I don’t have to name anyone who he’d replace it’s not my job. I bet if I went through posts there’d be people saying Webster isn’t best 22.The_Dud wrote: ↑Sun 22 Aug 2021 4:42pmYou said he’s best 22, I (and many others) said he’s not.

If we draft another KPD and Coffield keeps today’s form up with Paton to come back ....Webster may not be best 22CURLY wrote: ↑Sun 22 Aug 2021 5:50pmYep like I posted months ago he was going around again. Webster was nearly best on today
Has had a great year!
We’ll see where he finishes in the B&F

At least there’s an argument you could mount for Webster.
Geary not so much (as shown above).

Yes Webster on this years form should hold his spot. Geary will be forward.

Early 2022, Marvel, defence side of centre.
Dan get back on Merrett.
No Gears you get back.
Steely: will you two stop squabbling. I'll go back. I can run without straining a groin. If you want something done...

LOL
Who does he push out? Butler? Higgins? Sharman?
Make a call.

Re: Geary - Signed on for 22
Bleeds (literally) RWB.
One of many on our list who is a - I'll avoid saying can't kick - high risk of a turnover when ball is in hand.
I get the role of defensive forward and maybe an insurance policy if Paton, Webster, Coffield, Clark, Highmore, Long and 5 others all fall over. But surely not best 22?

Defensive forward
Position where players go to die
The best defensive forward IMO is one that kicks goals, then defenders worry about them!!!

Forward ? for Sandy?
Or sitting in the forward seats in the coaching box?
Doesn’t belong on the field at AFL that’s for sure

Re: Geary - Signed on for 22
Lol it’s funny stuff watching attempts to justify this decision
The ONlY way I see it making sense is if they’ve decided Geary is a coach being paid under the cap due to soft cap restraints
Who knows....maybe it’s Lades 1 year transition plan?
That’d make some sense
As a player ??? No

Not that it's up to me or anyone else on here to justify the call to sign Geary but anyway. Geary plays seniors when he is available has for the last 10 years.
