Levi Casboult and Cale Hooker
Clubs that are not playing finals are starting to announce retirements this week, with Levi Casboult and Cale Hooker just announcing their retirement.
For Saints supporters looking for a couple of ready made players to fill the need for CHF and CHB these blokes would be an immediate quick fix.
Not sure about Hooker, especially if Jake Carlisle is fully fit to play next year, but Levi Casboult looks perfect as that missing link CHF - 201 cm and 101 kg and 32 next March - he has great hands, 154 goals in 153 games.....

Re: Levi Casboult and Cale Hooker
No thanks.
Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

Re: Levi Casboult and Cale Hooker
Why would we continue to import past it players. This to me is the kind of short sighted, mediocrity accepting thinking that has plagued St.KFC for decades.Sanctorum wrote: ↑Tue 17 Aug 2021 5:11pm Clubs that are not playing finals are starting to announce retirements this week, with Levi Casboult and Cale Hooker just announcing their retirement.

No, no and double no.
If they were 28 with good footy in front of them then maybe, but blokes who are announcing their retirement. Nup.

Re: Levi Casboult and Cale Hooker
I appreciate people putting up names that the club could look at but I think we need to PARK (in a long term parking bay) the idea of recruiting players who have retired or of the age of over 28 and definitely anyone that struggles to get games in teams around us on the ladder or below us.
To be honest, I want the club to focus on the draft with the exception of grabbing a CHB and/or a quick midfielder with explicit skills if available through trade. I know we don't have much currency but maybe players like Billings and/or Battle can bring us something that we can bargain with. Time for the recruiting team to earn their dollars.

I would take Talia long before I would even consider these 2.
Maybe if they were 3-4 years younger I might consider them, but right now, a definite no.

Think of me long enough to make a memory.

Yeah I agree too old to be part of the plan & although both have had their good moments in previous years it's a no from me tooBruce G McAbee wrote: ↑Tue 17 Aug 2021 7:28pm I would take Talia long before I would even consider these 2.

Re: Levi Casboult and Cale Hooker
Levi wouldn't be that bad. He does have a skill that we don't have enough off which is a big man that can take a grab. When we loose one of Marshall or Ryder this exposes us even more.

f*** go back to bed!
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Re: Levi Casboult and Cale Hooker
No no no on Casboult. He was never that good even in his prime. He is not a premiership player. No opinion on Hooker.Sanctorum wrote: ↑Tue 17 Aug 2021 5:11pm Clubs that are not playing finals are starting to announce retirements this week, with Levi Casboult and Cale Hooker just announcing their retirement.

As if we need another bloke who can't kick the ball through the big sticks.
In STKFC we trust.

Talia I would consider, before the others. Age doesn't worry me, about 29.Bruce G McAbee wrote: ↑Tue 17 Aug 2021 7:28pm I would take Talia long before I would even consider these 2.
Maybe if they were 3-4 years younger ......
I think it's his ongoing injury problems that is a concern.....
