Shockers lobbying for fixture change!!
The Shockers are lobbying the AFL for a fixture change for this weekend to either Tasmania, Adelaide or, can you believe, Perth. Wa…..s!
They should be told in no uncertain terms to F off.

I'm OK with it as long as we get their home game next year played at Marvel.

Re: Shockers lobbying for fixture change!!
If they come to Vic to play on the weekend then they have to quarantine for 14 days when they go home.
They are trying to find a way around their Premier's harsh rules.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Good call a win win for us , we can't make it & they still have a chance so next year they forfeit their home game to us for being good sports . & yeah Easter Bunny & Santa Clause get free entryWaltzing St Kilda wrote: ↑Mon 16 Aug 2021 10:04pm I'm OK with it as long as we get their home game next year played at Marvel.

Re: Shockers lobbying for fixture change!!
Who says that will be the case? The AFL might have been intending to just fixture one SK V Shockers game and have it at Marvel so the Shockers do’t lose anythingWaltzing St Kilda wrote: ↑Mon 16 Aug 2021 10:04pm I'm OK with it as long as we get their home game next year played at Marvel.

It’s all irrelevant now anyway… sell the game to them for a bit of $$$!

I think Essendon and GWS would be much more upset if it were moved than us

Re: Shockers lobbying for fixture change!!
we'd beat them anyway.
sure, we've been inconsistent all season, but we've got a handy side, and they will be without Fyfe, Sonny Walters, Stephen Hill and Brayshaw.
We can't see them here live anyway - at least if it is off interstate somewhere we might end up with a few $$$.
We have only won one match of the past five, we are due for a big win.

Re: Shockers lobbying for fixture change!!
Screw them, it's our home game. Plus, best they could finish is 8th so there going to be playing Brisbane or Bulldogs first week of finals.
In fact, they won't play again in W.A until either the Grand Final or more likely round 1 2022.

Think of me long enough to make a memory.

The AFL will have to schedule the game where, if FREO wins (hopefully not) and they happen to get into the 8, they will be able to play quarantine-free the following week.

Re: Shockers lobbying for fixture change!!
If the game is moved to Perth, or anywhere with a gate, will the Saints, as a home game, get the gate proceeds?
And Freemantle home members should not be allowed in free.

wont be in Perth as no time to quarantine.
AFL trying to cover their contract with a pissed Tasmanian Government.
While we have the debt we have we are at the beg and call of our pimp The AFL.
Best strategy play everyone we will delist , rest anyone who has a niggle and fill in the rest

Re: Shockers lobbying for fixture change!!
Hate losing with a passion. However ideally we lose and Blues win and we finish bottom six for the 'easier' draw 2022.
Metricon on the GC? If Freo win and make the 8 probably will play Brisbane. In QLD already so no quarantine problem. And Metricon seems to be a happy hunting ground for us.

Re: Shockers lobbying for fixture change!!
I have no issue with the game going to Perth. I think the players would like to play in front of a crowd. There is nothing to gain this week, so a home ground advantage is irrelevant. I think there nothing wrong with the players having more exposure to playing in opposition territory. Getting used to playing in Perth can only help us in the future

Tifi.
In this instance Tefe.
When Garath Evans was Attorney General he often wrote that word on the bottom of letters sent to him as his advice as to his reply to be prepared by Departmental Officers.
It meant Tell 'im, f*** 'im.
My reply to freo would be Tell 'em , f*** 'em.
But I see the game may be played in Hobart. Weak as piss saints .

Re: Shockers lobbying for fixture change!!
Why is it weak? Government rules say that it would not be possible to play in Victoria or Perth. Surely it is smart to play the game where some fans can get in and possibly the club gets some of the gate? Do you think the club has somehow buckled to Freo by playing a game in Tassie?saynta wrote: ↑Tue 17 Aug 2021 4:38pm Tifi.

Re: Shockers lobbying for fixture change!!
I'm more than happy for them to play their next home game against us in Tassie...only fair. Not that that is ever high on the AFL's list of boxes to tick.
