Poor Seb. Just read assessments above.

Anyway, once it was an act of faith that a fit (relative term) Dan H was an automatic in. Not sure anymore. See his own assessment in taking a big (?) pay cut.

I think the rule of thumb is even if you have had a good win you bring back any of your first choice best 22 as soon as available. That seems to me to only be Clark and Paddy this week. Can't see any reason to pick Hanneberry ahead of the guys that did the job Saturday evening.

So Clark for inj, Leo and Paddy for Butler is my guess. Small ground may not suit Butler. So let Dan H wait until there is a injury/form lapse from Luke or Brad C. Or does he deserve special consideration. His best seems so long ago and unsustainable.

Lets be real we will not make finals.

Ryder has an achillies injury /soreness , what is the upside of playing him sore with that type of injury not matter how minor as opposed to 6 weeks to rest and start pre season?
Same for Hannebry - he has signed a new deal already so why have him injured now and miss another pre season,

King I would think is doubtful

Does some clever stuff at times, but overall he is a liability.

After Steele became an elite player, and we added Jones and Crouch in there, what was there left for Seb?

Become a tagger, a job that he is not equipped for.

The games the opposition have got a run on against us, he goes completely missing.

I for one would like him to go at the end of the year - same with Billings too.

Stop praising up players that would struggle to get a game with at least the top six clubs.
Several folks on here (and I'm one too) believe that Seb's 2 B n F awards are proof that our list (at the time) was very poor, and that one indicator that we are getting better is when Seb becomes a fringe player, not best 22.

He is very fit, extremely fit, but as far as footy brains go, he really doesn't have much.
Of course he can get the ball.
He used to get high-20s, and he was often highest possession-getter in the team.
But he seems to be selfish far too often- thinking 'me first' rather than 'team-first'.
My opinion.

No matter how anyone responds, I won't change my mind, so don't waste keystrokes defending him :D
Seb is no star but he's a goer, his disposal is not great but IMO acceptable for the role he plays . As you said super fit but I disagree on the selfish bit I think he is a real team player & would & has given his all over a long period of time as I said he no super star but still very handy . I know this won't change your opinion & I respect your opinion but I don't agree

Seb has a surprising turn of speed when he wants to use it unfortunately his clangers really stand out - that said he can still use the ball well at times

Happy to sit on the fence - I can see his worth but can also see why some fans are happy to see him move on

The majority of his clangers occur when he kicks at full pace or cant get around sufficiently on his left. His ball drop gets out of sync and basically scoffs the ball off his shin.

I hope none of our players cop a sell wood dirt bag act during the game on Saturday.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Agree but to me its about winning a premiership which will not happen in 2021 but has a greater chance of happening in 2022. If 100% fit in if carrying or coming back from injury that could be significant rest

His clangers stand out because some look for them

Had three clangers against Sydney

Steele 6
Marshall 8

I think 2 or 3 clangers in 20 possessions is normal.

He is clearly maligned, for whatever reason?!

What counts as a clanger?

It’s easier to turn the ball over when trying to get a clearance out of congestion than running along the wing under little pressure.

Geez I hope they give Clark another week off

Broken jaw his second last game ago
Then a concussion the week before last
Kids a gun, protect him

Jeremy Cameron had 6 wks off with a hammy.
He's probably getting picked according to Fox Footy.

We've gone, overnight, from about $3.40 to $4.00.

Hanners will come in, do a few useful things and then get another soft tissue injury in the process. I hope Byrnes doesn't go out, as run and spread players suit the Geelong ground. Maybe Butler goes out and Hanners runs in the forward half- our small forwards have bee pretty unproductive this season, though Higgins may be getting into some form after last week

They stand out because he telegraphs them.

Either from a mark in the back half where he stops, props then mis kicks
Or a rushed bomb to no-one in particular to the forward line.

Ross has some good attributes but let's not pretend he doesn't have problems too.

It is not maligning him to point them out.

What is somewhat exasperating about him, is that he can be very good, even with his delivery, but then he reverts to bombing it.
It's like he is caught between overthinking and underthinking.

Are these the official AFL stats or your made up ones?

Spoiler alert. They’re not the AFL ones.

BTW. I’m a big fan of DMac but just stick to the facts

It's only when he kicks forward that he comes up with clangers...normally holds up play and chips backwards sideways so his disposal efficiency is good
