I don't think there was a weak link tonight. there was the odd clanger but overall we played like a team tonight and god it looked good. Byrnes, Highmore, Long, Dunstan take a bow. fringe players no more based on tonig

In his first game this year (second overall) I said that Ryan Byrnes showed more than the bloke he displaced had shown in more than 80.

Couldn't agree more. He's strung together a few really good games now.

Yep I have to dip my lid to these two, I had them as list cloggers but they’ve really turned themselves into good soldiers.Ghost Like wrote: ↑Sat 10 Jul 2021 11:03pm I'm so happy for the whipping boys, Dunstan & McKenzie. They are in rare air.
Add Highmore & Byrnes, who had those 4 names in our best 22 at Round 17, 2021?
Especially Dunstan, his last month has been simply outstanding .

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again Long will take mark of the year and possibly goal of the year as well and to all the long knockers try and get a grasp on the caper

Sensational win. Brilliant team 4 quarter performance. You could see there confidence just sky rocketing in that last quarter.
I was one who had written Dunstan off, how wrong I was. He has been an inspitation to everybody at our football club! The lad has learnt himself a new contract, congratulations.
The remarkable thing is now that he has the confidence in himself his kicking has improved exponentially.

For all his faults Long adds what this sides lacks IMO ...but of mongrel
Dunstan has stood up here too
But Long is a touch mad and you need that
He’s got that kamakazi Max Rooke feel.... who could really hurt opponents GF and all sides need that

Bloody top win. I rate the Lions as prolly the best team in the comp pregame as when they are on song they are near unbeatable. But I was confident the boys would have a real crack as they match up well v the Lions. And they did
