Anything that directly results in a goal to a teammate. A kick, hand pass, knock-on or free downfield.shanegrambeau wrote: ↑Mon 05 Jul 2021 10:23pm What is a goal assist exactly? Is it a nice pass into F50?

Re: Goal Assists
I got curious so I checked. Wasn’t my first guess.
Only two Saints in the top 60 for goal assists… feel like that’s telling

Re: Goal Assists
Sincs would be my first choice and then Steele (he does everything else, so why not the most goal assists)

Re: Goal Assists
reckon score involvements is a better stat as it doesn't have as much a forward bias.
Either way I'm guessing members

Re: Goal Assists
I saw Hill in the first quarter shoot off a pass, keep running, collect it back, and then deliver a beautifully weighted pass into the F50 which resulted in a mark and goal.
To watch the whole thing from beginning to end was like seeing my ‘how to kick’ book my uncle gave me as a kid, with a a montage of black and white time lapse pictures showing each of the regular kicks. (Including the place kick!) It was very smooth.
I had to add this, I confess, partly because Hill gets the forum grumble award often.

Re: Goal Assists
Gee Kings a spud
Physically weak, inept in his 30 games for a KPP
If he was built like Swarzenegger he’d be so much better

Re: Goal Assists
Because he’s had 9 goal assists in 16 games?
He does play 0-30m from goal. Of course some of touches will result in goals. Seriously.
Not sure we need Arnold Schwarzenegger
But a rig like Aaron Norton would be nice and a few marks on the lead.

Re: Goal Assists
Or lack of them after 3 years in an elite high performance environment
He’s a talent, certainly
Not fit enough, not strong enough, and doesn’t lead strongly.
Maybe he should take a leaf out of his twin brothers play book
