I know this will be unpopular, but, they need a quality outside mid to complement their grunt work around the packs.
There's absolutely no point in having another inside mid (Ross, Dunstan, Bytel etc) grouped with them. By all means use them as an alternate grouping of on-ballers when one/both of Steele and Crouch is having a rest, but to add anybody other than Jones, Gresham or ???? to that grouping is, IMHO, costing us the ability to capitalize on Ryder's exceptional ruck work.
