Thursdays Saints question time?

Wow this has the makings of a free for all!
Send your questions to the club to be answered by Ratten, Rath or Lethlean.
Q.1 Is the club negotiating to pay out Hannebrey at seasons end? If not why not?
Q.2 Is the club looking to bring in some new assistant coaches? If not why not?
Q.3 Is the club speaking with the Tasmanian Govt about a games deal? If not why not?
Q.4 Is the club looking at ways to go to the national draft with more than one early pick?
Q.5 What is the club doing to improve their recuiting & list management?

Are questions submitted before the Q and A?

Microsoft Teams?
I think I will watch as a guest.
Lucky I don't work this Thursday.
I fear that 100% of the answers will be spin, like the CEOs of Westpac, ANZ, etc facing the Banking Royal Commission.

I'll watch this, as a guest, it could be like watching an episode of the Comedy Company.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

I was going to submit a question but then realized there's enough hostility, swearing and vitriol in the world already.
This was my father's belief

Ere our children's teeth are set on edge

Re: Thursdays Saints question time?
Well it could be interesting. Good initiative, but....
The guys appearing know what questions we want answered and the format allows them to skate over hard issues if they choose.
If its a puff piece, well that's an insult to members and missed opportunity, conversely if its honest journalists will be all over them.
Looking forward to how they tread the line, but cynically expect them to start from the premise members don't really deserve to know what the root cause(s) of this humiliating season is/are and why players are not buying into the program, so will serve up the standard cliches. Hope I am wrong.
Of course maybe they are actually clueless about the dramatic collapse of effort and we will see that for ourselves - worst case scenario.

They may have a few strong ideas about why we are in this state , but they’d be foolish to admit it.
They maybe clueless, but they’d be foolish to admit it.
They can look at Eddie McQuire, the Collingwood group as a whole and North Melbourne’s recently departed ex coach as examples of what not to do.
My guess, is they have some canned responses to anticpated questions.

4:30 time slot - most people at work , kids at home which is likely to be easier questions to answer.

If a nugget or two of controversial information is divulged today it will keep us newsworthy during our bye week and probably feed into the promotion of our otherwise insignificant, "big stage" Friday night game against the Tigers interstate in some backwater far away from the MCG next week.

So Ratts loves "Hanners" leadership, perhaps we could appoint him as our NON-playing Captain!

Robbo, Gears, Joey all used to sit in coaches box while injured.

Yes, Ratts said Hanners has 18 months to go on his contract and they want him to get his body right and get back playing, this year and next.darylcowie wrote: ↑Thu 17 Jun 2021 6:23pm So Ratts loves "Hanners" leadership, perhaps we could appoint him as our NON-playing Captain!

If you get onto any Alfa Romeo fan forum, there's a few fans who say you need one Alfa and a normal car like a Toyota, because the Alfa spends more time with a mechanic than with the real ownerWayne42 wrote: ↑Thu 17 Jun 2021 7:17pmYes, Ratts said Hanners has 18 months to go on his contract and they want him to get his body right and get back playing, this year and next.darylcowie wrote: ↑Thu 17 Jun 2021 6:23pm So Ratts loves "Hanners" leadership, perhaps we could appoint him as our NON-playing Captain!

I was going to tape it but they said the audio would be available for members in a few days. I think the lady also said there would be an edited version on the website as well.

Saw DH lecturing on effort/personal improvement in one clip. Saw room largely ignoring him. I admire his lack of self awareness. Of course can't judge anything from here sensibly but if I were in the room or comparable staff meeting I'd be thinking what a wanker. DH would probably be thinking the same about me. I hope he is not a negative influence. Tony74?

DH probably should preface everything he says with, "back when i was playing", that might help his credibility.Yorkeys wrote: ↑Thu 17 Jun 2021 7:35pm Saw DH lecturing on effort/personal improvement in one clip. Re: Thursdays Saints question time?
I spent 5 years in admin in a warehouse. Each month we were forced to sit thru a safety meeting, watch videos of forklifts hitting shelves- knocking $000s of grog, and other types of stock, forklifts going wrong way down ramps n tipping over, etc.Yorkeys wrote: ↑Thu 17 Jun 2021 7:35pm Saw DH lecturing on effort/personal improvement in one clip. So I get how the players would feel.
The usual safety guy was a paid external consultant in his 50's who sounded like a used car salesman.
He came to site in a grey C Class Merc, that was worth about $70k.
Ok there's jealousy on my part, yeah, but he was a self-important moron who nobody respected.
Before each meeting, guys were saying 'hope it's not that Fwit again'. We all had to sign in before each sesh.
