Umpires well you saw it.
I won’t call them what they are but we all saw it. Basically gifted a team the game. That free against Howard was a umpire want a result to be something other than what it was. 11-3 last quarter goals to Sloane Rylthorpe Walker just not frees. All just errant calls want a different result. Someone else can call them cheats this time but that what they give you the impression they are.

Re: Umpires well you saw it.
They were terrible, but we stopped playing 3 minutes into the third quarter. Not the first time we've done that.
We did it against Geelong this season and at least twice last year - againts North and Freo.
The umpires don't help, but that game was lost well before those frees were paid.

The goal line call was an absolute disgrace.
One of the worst decisions ever.
The game wasn't lost before that gift.
How many soft frees did the Crows get in the kast quarter inside 50?
But will we have the guts to complain?

They might not have been in front but the result was inevitable.Enrico_Misso wrote: ↑Sat 12 Jun 2021 11:22pmRubbish.Life Long Saint wrote: ↑Sat 12 Jun 2021 11:18pm They were terrible, but we stopped playing 3 minutes into the third quarter. Not the first time we've done that.

I completely agree about the decision. It was terrible. But we couldn't move the ball past the centre and had to withstand attack after attack. It was only a matter of time before they hit the front.

Re: Umpires well you saw it.
And after that we were still in front and we kicked the ball straight into our forward line and nobody was there except two Crows defenders in space.CURLY wrote: ↑Sat 12 Jun 2021 11:12pm I won’t call them what they are but we all saw it. Only have ourselves to blame.
Earlier in the quarter we also had a very kickable set shot which would have put us sixteen points in front which we made a mess off for the second week in a row.
The Crows were still attacking at the end. We completely stopped.

There is a serious problem here and fitness is just part of it
Recruiting, unskilled players getting games
No forward structure and no idea how to clear from defence
Problems everywhere and we’ve got a coach whose a “nice guy” and can’t make tough calls
“Yeah….nah””

Bottom line is we didn't deserve to win because we tried to save the game not win the game & if the umpires made a bad call (& it happens every week) well so be it but we were 30 points up at half time I rest my case

The free against Howard was there, he held on too long, i don't understand how people can't see it, even wearing beer goggles it's obvious.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: Umpires well you saw it.
Totally agree but it must be nice to be West Coast or Hawthorn and get a little bit of assistance from the umps when struggling rather than a kick to the head.bangaulegend wrote: ↑Sat 12 Jun 2021 11:32pm Bottom line is we didn't deserve to win because we tried to save the game not win the game & if the umpires made a bad call (& it happens every week) well so be it but we were 30 points up at half time I rest my case

The tackle that Rylthorp held Howard to draw the umpires attention.

I notice Howard doesn’t punch, he tries to mark. Is that just normal these days? He was out marked by their youngen’ today and I think a couple of judicious punches may have saved us from a cupla goals.

Re: Umpires well you saw it.
We stopped. Plain and simple.
Steele and Ryder were on the bench for five minutes in the last quarter, but even when they came back on we didn't even look like scoring.
That last forward entry we had where we had absolutely nobody in our forward fifty and there were only two Crows defenders there playing the loose men in defence was the ultimate difference.
They cleared because there was nobody there to put pressure on them.
And to think we did this against a side which has hardly won for two months and won the wooden spoon last year too. And we were six goals in front. And we failed to kick a goal in the last hour. And the Crows kicked the last seven goals.
No way you can blame the umpires for us losing that one.

Or the free in the goal square when it was just let’s leave that alone it’s to bad to justify.
Adelaide struggling to get over Melbourne the umpires get them over the line.
Sydney struggling v Geelong umpires get them up.
Hawthorn go to Sydney get a 25-9 free kick count.
We control the game the umpire lovers point out one lucky free to Lonie to try and justify the reaming we received.

We were tanking and the umpires clearly helped us.

Shoulder bump to the head breaks Clark's jaw.
Both of the offenders feet leave the ground as he jumps into Clark.
Umpire calls play on, nothing to see here.

Re: Umpires well you saw it.
The umpiring was a bloody disgrace!! And gave the crows the "win". It was a huge reason why we couldn't get the ball past halfway. If the umpires had done their job correctly it would have been 40-24 frees. Which means we would have had a lot more control of the footy and launched more attacks. Our effort was there all game and we deserved the win. That last quarter in particular was probably the worst umpiring I have seen all year. Talk about getting a team over the line.
In STKFC we trust.

You need to give encouragement to the team that is behind on the scorebaord..and also Adelaide were below us on the ladder
I think the umpires were really good at supporting the underdog.
