Re: Match Thread Saints v Swans Round 12 2021
we played well enough, one day they will be taught how to kick for goal and we will have marshall back.
Sydney won't go anywhere this season and the hype around Franklin is bordering on stupidity.
Go Saints.

Kicked badly but Higgins was enormous today - Hunter Clark and Josh Battle need to pull their fingers out and start showing something - both just going through the motions

True but maybe someone should have got to him before he took his shot

Re: Match Thread Saints v Swans Round 12 2021
The umpires were very ordinary BUT...
Every f***** week in every competition and at every level of footy it’s the same. You win some you lose some.
We got a few that were iffy and they got a few more. It’s on their home turf and that’s always expected when you play in Sydney.
What’s new? It’s not just as simple as the umpires cost. Most Saints supporters and the overwhelming majority of neutrals know the main reason we lost. Poor execution and poor conversion

Yep. On that second shot needed someone to come up and tell him to take his time and go through the motions.

you take the good with the bad, anyone who bags the ump this game really needs to have a good look at themselves.CURLY wrote: ↑Sat 05 Jun 2021 5:25pmThe Fireman wrote: ↑Sat 05 Jun 2021 5:22pmwe got the rub , umps were good to us.
You are totally blind mate
We got a reasonable run. Still frees to Franklin goal free to end the game both just bad calls.
Missed King hit head on 15 out missed King constantly infringed.
Billing’s correct tackle ball spills free that’s play on.
Sorry Curly but you are a broken record and should not post on gameday threads, maybe a gameday umps thread ?
You can knock yourself out there and us alone.

Game was there to be won. Only ourselves to blame, as usual...

Yeah mate the effort was there but again execution was what cost us but they never gave up & what hurts the most is that is a game we should have won & yeah Go SaintsThe Fireman wrote: ↑Sat 05 Jun 2021 5:27pm we played well enough, one day they will be taught how to kick for goal and we will have marshall back.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Swans Round 12 2021
In an away game at the SCG we won the free kick count 20-18 and had four 50 meter penalties that all resulted in goals, not sure you could ask for much more.Scollop wrote: ↑Sat 05 Jun 2021 5:29pmThe umpires were very ordinary BUT...

If you’re not happy with that umpiring I’m not sure you ever will be.

Yep. Would have been BOG if he kicked even 3.4
But cost us the game in the end unfortunately.

Also Ross’s point blank miss would have been handy...

A little pent up there, apologies that Billings has made you wait so long this season to pile into him.Scollop wrote: ↑Sat 05 Jun 2021 5:30pmBoth still youngsilverhalo wrote: ↑Sat 05 Jun 2021 5:28pm Kicked badly but Higgins was enormous today - Hunter Clark and Josh Battle need to pull their fingers out and start showing something - both just going through the motions

Re: Match Thread Saints v Swans Round 12 2021
Top effort against a pretty good side in the Swans especially with so many out - few guys out there today for us that would not get a game with most other sides.
Re: Match Thread Saints v Swans Round 12 2021
Getting a bit sick of Ratten and his game plan. I thought we had a ripper coach but not so sure any more. Our field kicking and goal kicking should be a focus for the rest of the year and we need to nail the best mid available with our first pick which will be a too 10 one. Very disappointing.

Had numerous chances to win it yet found a way to lose.silverhalo wrote: ↑Sat 05 Jun 2021 5:40pm Top effort against a pretty good side in the Swans especially with so many out - few guys out there today for us that would not get a game with most other sides.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Swans Round 12 2021
Don’t be ridiculous. Ratts will be tossing up whether to give him 1 vote or 2 votes in the coaches association award
Ratts gave Max 1 vote for his 1.5 against Geelong. That really went well
Since that match I think he’s kicked 1.5...combined in the next 3 matches
