Geelong were going through the motions last week. They were well below their A game, made us look better because of that and yet, still did enough to win.bangaulegend wrote: ↑Sat 22 May 2021 9:40pmYeah mate what has happened in a week Last week our pressure was amazing tonight non existent but as they say a week is a long time in football

Tonight proves that Ratten is not the answer. Will not take us to a premiership.

Re: Match Thread - Saints v Dogs
I can see why someone on here calls McKernan "Slips through fingers". f*** me dead. He's f****** hopeless. If this is not his last game then something is wrong down there. I know he's not the only dud and most players are flat but geeeeeezz!!
As ex-president Peter Summers said:

No one is blaming Max King ... we just need mids, mids and more mids ... as someone posted.Teflon wrote: ↑Sat 22 May 2021 9:42pm Lol blame Max King ....the midfield smashed, ball coming forward with zero system or composure and its Max Kings fault ??
Whose up for keeping our 750k gun Billings?? Or just maybe try and get something that can impact?? He’s a downhill skier
Time to face facts - drop games, ffs get picks and pick smart we are years off top 4 get real
Nothing coming through time to be ruthless
And ffs clean out coaching box!!
Max King will be a fine player in 3 year's time or so .. but the ball won't be getting down to him.
We need quality mids to match it with the best teams... and it should be our number 1 priority.

What is scary is that if this group of players is not up to it, it's going to be years before we seriously challenge - we have NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING coming through..

Agreed. This year's gone, our percentage is shot. Get rid of anyone 27yrs old and over (except Ryder maybe) and bring in some fricken hope. I can't do too many more years of this shite.Teflon wrote: ↑Sat 22 May 2021 9:42pm Lol blame Max King ....the midfield smashed, ball coming forward with zero system or composure and its Max Kings fault ??

I agree we need mids but I would not forego a chance at B King to add up forwardsamoht wrote: ↑Sat 22 May 2021 9:50pmNo one is blaming Max King ... we just need mids, mids and more mids ... as someone posted.Teflon wrote: ↑Sat 22 May 2021 9:42pm Lol blame Max King ....the midfield smashed, ball coming forward with zero system or composure and its Max Kings fault ??

Good sides manage to do both ????? Why can’t we??
Geelong have mids ...,plus Cameron and Hawkins??
Facts are recruiting made some monumental blunders and I suspect after last year many overrated where we are at
We are bottom 8 side and will be for a few years
There is a pulse of a core there ....but we need to be realistic and build for 2-3 years away

Re: Match Thread - Saints v Dogs
Just getting beat up by a better team
They (barring injury) will most likely win the flag IMO
Who are they missing atm??
Marshall, Jones, Gresham, Hannebery, Paton, Coffield (form)
Frawley and Geary underdone and old
Wdd we are a mile off them - never a chance!!!

If we can get a top 10 pick for Billings maybe its the way to go sadly

Re: Match Thread - Saints v Dogs
Frawley should have stayed retired, he doesn't offer anything from what I've seen, McKernan's a top VFL player....need to focus on getting some decent kids in now...forget about the high priced hacks

Re: Match Thread - Saints v Dogs
But we all know how f.. good you are ! You keep telling us .. I thought you left the forum for good !
Maybe you should ,. You bag our players coaches, staff , admin or anyone on the forum anyone with. Different opinion of your myopic look at me posts ..
. Are you going to tell us all again how much you think you know
With all due respect I’m not sure Brett Ratten is the greatest coach, but I’d put my house he a f.. lot better than you are .r will ever be
..How dare you even suggest you know more than a VFL coach..
In sick of reading your f.... N crap that why I don’t post much any more..
It’s bad enough putting up with how bad we are playing without you constantly telling everyone how you know more than anyone else ..
Your the one that’s F.. n clueless
I used to be supersaints but after 16 years my profile dissapeared... ??? if I make any reference to past posts .. it will be under supersiants.. glad to be back on line

Dunkley, Wood, English, Stef Martin, Mclean… not like they are running full strength either.

Imagine the price we’d have to pay for B King though, 2 first rounders at least.Teflon wrote: ↑Sat 22 May 2021 9:53pmI agree we need mids but I would not forego a chance at B King to add up forwardsamoht wrote: ↑Sat 22 May 2021 9:50pmNo one is blaming Max King ... we just need mids, mids and more mids ... as someone posted.Teflon wrote: ↑Sat 22 May 2021 9:42pm Lol blame Max King ....the midfield smashed, ball coming forward with zero system or composure and its Max Kings fault ??

I’d 100% rather use those picks on picking up the best midfielders available.

The reference was to our passing over Bont for Billing’s in the draft.IluvHarvey wrote: ↑Sat 22 May 2021 9:20pmWhat a neutral contest that turned into a 3 on 1?? People see what they want here.

In terms of shots for goals, it's the worst first half in over 60 years.
