So now we have more injuries to key players, we are behind the ledger, and the window to recover our position is shrinking. this week is an absolute MUST win, otherwise the gap (4-6) grows to something that will likely be unrecoverable with our miserable percentage. This week is a HUGE game for our season. We need to show that our effort, application and endeavour against the cats was not an outlier.

Bring that all again this week against the Dogs, add some improvement to our set shot kicking and we can keep our season alive.

They are just not skilful enough to execute when it matters.
The bulldogs seem to have no trouble kicking goals so it won’t matter how hard we work, tackle, pressure or anything else when we can’t get the basics right.

St Kilda usually play to the script - and in this case it is a positive for us.

We don't have that many injuries in terms of quantity. And if we get back Geary and Carlisle this week, and if Kent is available after his concussion a couple of weeks back we don't really have many to cover. At the moment we have the second least number of injuries. The Dogs have nearly the most apparently.

It is impossible to pick winners. I was surprised we did as well as we did against the Cats.

I always dread the “brave loss hangover”, and we get ‘Em pretty bad from a fans point of view anyway.

Like Gold Coast, who put up a great show, just get done, but then get a horrible hammering the following week.

I'm reinstating my 'Golden 10 goal rule' from the dark days. If we lose by less than 10 goals we've actually won. It's amazing how it can lift you psychologically. I'll reference the same George Costanza quote from another thread here....'it's not a lie if you truly believe'. We're actually having a pretty good year.

Our backline can beat the Dogs forward line. If our midfield plays like it did against the Cats then we might break even through the middle of the ground. It's our forward line that could undo all the good work in the other two departments.
