Billing’s is a bit soft
As ex-president Peter Summers said:

Big effort from the saints, too bad they are shite at some aspects of football.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Well 22 scoring shots to 18 normally wins you the game. Max King 1goal 5 points. Set shots St Kilda 3 goals 9 pts to Cats 3 goals 2 pts.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Cats Round 9 2021
Our effortr was excellent all night. And in general play the better team for a fair chunk of it. That goal kicking..... 22 scoring shots to 18. Says it all. And the enormous influence of the yellow maggots in the last did not help. They scored at least two goals from that. And Steele should have had a 50 there when he had that shot at goal.

Luck had nothing to do with that. It was all in our control and we mentally fluffed it.desertsaint wrote: ↑Fri 14 May 2021 11:19pm unlucky saints. well played. on another night we'd be celebrating a great win against the odds.

Really disappointing. Looking so good early. Feels like we're years away.

I don’t think you can call 5.17 ‘unlucky’, that’s just bad football.desertsaint wrote: ↑Fri 14 May 2021 11:19pm unlucky saints. well played. on another night we'd be celebrating a great win against the odds.

Effort, sorry. Against the odds? Geelong really aren't that good. They always need an armchair ride from the umps on nights like this. Look at the Hawthorn and Brisbane games.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Cats Round 9 2021
I do too
Looks almost like he marks it walks back and has zero confidence he’ll kick it
I’m starting to think he’s a CHF , better link up player up the field and perhaps his brother takes FF ...
Membrey missed easy goals dropped chest marks
Cant blame miss or defenders tonight we lost for 2 very obvious reasons
1. Poor kicking by forwards
2. Absolutely disgusting, biased umpiring
I’ve never seen a game as poorly umpired as tonight and I don’t blame umps after a loss but they were woeful
The club as always will do nothing they won’t ask for a please explain ....nothing be good corporate citizens but at the ground tonight they were clearly impacting the result.

Frawley disappointing in his debut.......cost us a couple of goals at a crucial part of the game

That match was basically a short revision of the history of our club…moments of hope but ultimately not good enough and inevitable failure

If Ratts doesn’t have our goal kickers in front of goal for hours on end up seeing this tonight then piss him off
King just stabs at it....he doesn’t kick through it but again it’s all mental
