I think BM was being sarcastic - he gave Ross top votesGhost Like wrote: ↑Wed 28 Apr 2021 7:10am I don't know B.M., I guess it must have been for his tackling, surely not the quality of his possessions, some quite cheap.
No one said he's in our bottom 6 players. I have said the quicker he is in our bottom 6, the better we will be.
I do believe Marshall beat Lycett, certainly beat him with his work around the ground and shaded in the ruck.
How did Ports mids go against ours? Did Steele, Ross, Crouch, Jones come out on top? No wonder our defence was under siege and our forwards with little to no hope.

No, he was serious. He was quoting "Sainter of the Week" to pat himself on the back & have a crack at those who don't rate Seb. I gave Seb 3 votes I think, I do admire Seb's grit, just not his skills. Seb has set a high bar for himself, I wish he'd reach it more often.MCG-Unit wrote: ↑Wed 28 Apr 2021 5:31pmI think BM was being sarcastic - he gave Ross top votesGhost Like wrote: ↑Wed 28 Apr 2021 7:10am I don't know B.M., I guess it must have been for his tackling, surely not the quality of his possessions, some quite cheap.

Re: Votes v Power
Ross 5 was our best by the length of the Flemington straight (I should say Morphettville Straight but it just doesn't have the same ring).
Steele 4 As always was whole hearted and just kept working.
Marshall 3 tried hard the whole game and broke even with Lycette.
Howard 2 Did as well as he could given the ease and regularity the ball was coming in.
McKenzie 1 Just always works hard from start to finish.

No it's not. Seb has been under appreciated and denigrated on this forum for years.

Re: Votes v Power
Pretty hard to ignore him since he was easily the best player
You begrudgingly gave him 2nd didn’t you?

Re: Votes v Power
Have another look at the votes and those who begrudgingly gave Seb low vote, no votes or a half share of 1 vote FFS.Ghost Like wrote: ↑Fri 30 Apr 2021 10:23pmYet the voting for last match disagrees with that comment.
Stand by what I said..
How Marshall got 18 more votes than Ross is beyond me.

Re: Votes v Power
"Easily the best"??? You are taking the p1SS with that.
You said Lycett shaded Marshall so who was it that Ross beat? Following it up with his decision making & laser like passes?
Perhaps another B&F vote but I doubt a Brownlow vote. Both super important in determining a players worth, allegedly.

Re: Votes v Power
Yes
Best and Fairests and Brownlow’s go to players who’ve had a great year.
Who’s our Dud B&Fs?
Robert Harvey? Nathan Burke?? Lenny Hayes??? Sam Fisher... Maybe Winmar or Lockett??!!
To win a B&F at an AFL club is a huge achievement, no matter how you try and spin it
To win a Brownlow medal even more so!
