There is no run off half back or through the middle of the ground ..... no risk taking either to open up play
Energy feeds off energy and risky and exciting play can forge energy with players becoming embolden and fueling off each other.
Coaches and players need a nuclear bomb placed underneath them

Re: Match Thread Saints v Power Round 6 2021
Recruiters did great last year. This year they're no good??
Every side comes into Saint games and know we bomb long and have a plan for. They know we don't run the footy and plan for it. They know we don't block the corridor and run through it. They know we commit 2/3 to a contest so they clear to the outside quick and run the spares. Ratts is the problem not the recruiters.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Power Round 6 2021
We are an absolute joke of an AFL team total embarassment to the league.
We just have players who are not uptoo AFL standard we need to cull and totally start all over again. Thanks to our recruitment dept.for the rubbish you have bought to our club overpaid broken down players who have achieved want they were after at their previous clubs and here for the money not the jumper.
Starting the cull from the top with Zig and Zag is where to start .
Dont blame the coach we have sacked more coaches than any side look at the cattle we have who are totally not interested.
Paying top dollar to recruit players is not the answer to success passion is and these guys dont have the passion.
Piss them off before the cancer spreads.
Sorry JB Seb Long Carlisle McKenzie Lonie i think its time you move on as well.
King if Gold Coast calls accept their offer with open arms young man.

St Kilda can't handle pressure, why is that, what do they do at training, kick to kick.
What a rabble.
What a rabble.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: Match Thread Saints v Power Round 6 2021
Rowan Marshall was the only player who won his position. We are too weak and too small and we don't even have pace. The comparison in recruiting between us and the Demons over the last 7 years could not be more stark. Luke Jackson will be their next Brownlow Medalist. Our only hope is to be very bad for three or four years. We are well on the way this year. As others have mentioned, we don't even have any "kids" to play for the rest of the year. All of our "kids" are about 30.

The only excuse is a lack of fitness? We have so many of the team that arent running out games. What other reasons can there be? They are not the same team that played last year it's like Jekyll & Hyde.

I doubt Ratts instructed the team to play like they have been problem is most of the players have glaring weaknesses be it skill, lack of pace or decision making and as the saying goes you can’t make a silk purse out of pig s***

Marshall had 23 hitouts and 16 possession. Lycett had 28 hitouts and 21 possessions so even Marshall lost.perfectionist wrote: ↑Sun 25 Apr 2021 10:42pm Rowan Marshall was the only player who won his position. As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

Just went through our list. Apart from Byrnes, we don't have any young players coming through. Reminds me of 2009-10. We are really stuffed.perfectionist wrote: ↑Sun 25 Apr 2021 10:42pm Rowan Marshall was the only player who won his position. We are too weak and too small and we don't even have pace. That may be an easy effort for this cohort of administrators/coaches/players.bangaulegend wrote: ↑Sun 25 Apr 2021 9:48pmI think we should start tanking now if we haven't alreadyaxcellence wrote: ↑Sun 25 Apr 2021 9:46pm Ok... who's the pick 1 in the draft this year? Or pick 2... coz it looks like a raffle for the wooden spoon between North and the Saints.

4th youngest list 2020
We will certainly need some youth to compliment our 21-26 year olds over the next 5 years.
Unfortunately our 27-32 year olds currently playing are just terrible (apart from Seb)
Our recruiting over the next 2-3 years needs to be spot on

460 disposals to 311
157 Marks to 91
Inside 50s ......... 52 each
That's pretty mental

Recruiters did great last year. This year they're no good??
Every side comes into Saint games and know we bomb long and have a plan for. They know we don't run the footy and plan for it. They know we don't block the corridor and run through it. They know we commit 2/3 to a contest so they clear to the outside quick and run the spares. Ratts is the problem not the recruiters.
