I'd share it between Howard, Coffield, Hill, Sinclair, Clark and Wilkie. Different players for different strategies/stages of the game.

That would be, like, six different strategies. That's six too many to remember.mad saint guy wrote: ↑Fri 23 Apr 2021 3:38am I'd share it between Howard, Coffield, Hill, Sinclair, Clark and Wilkie. Different players for different strategies/stages of the game.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:

Re: Brad Hill should take kick ins
Not too many teams have a perfect kick in system, us included. None of our problems stem from Dougal Howard's kick ins. He can kick both long and short with a fair degree of confidence and with good judgement. Option presentation is the key to kick ins leading to continued possession. Last year, both Paddy Ryder and Rowan Marshall were two of those options and took numerous contested marks from kick ins. Their absence has reduced this, but there is no previously untried way of overcoming a lack of height. Brad Hill has always been a receiver, I'm not sure why people expect him to suddenly change. Having him kick in all of the time, or even most of the time, would be a poor move.
On a related issue, it seems to me that many players taking the kick in, and who play on, which is now most of the time, run more than 15 metres after they leave the square and before they kick. I hope we won't be the first team to be penalised.

Re: Brad Hill should take kick ins
Last game Dougal attempted a short kick in and kicked it straight to the opposition for a goal. He is not a great kick.
Can roost it a bit, but even then it’s just long to a pack.
Hill, Sinclair, Wilkie are better shorter kicks
