That would be the ones with all the B&Fs & the Brownlow votes. Surely they cannot be blamed. Drop Steele, drop Crouch, drop Ross...Lonie can only do so much.

Played not too bad for someone who hasn’t played in 22 years!!!shanegrambeau wrote: ↑Thu 15 Apr 2021 11:42pm Poor Dunstan.
What circumstances to come back!
Hadn't been picked since Round One 1999.
Expectations.
Suspicious clouds hovering above.
Richmond after two losses...

Won the clearances in the 2nd and kicked 1 goal to 5.

Billings is better on the wing, not inside 50 when the ball comes in that poorly. Toby Greene would look impotent.samoht wrote: ↑Thu 15 Apr 2021 11:11pm Our small forwards may have kicked a fair percentage of our measly 7 goals... but they didnt bring other players into the game.
They are just finishers... not playmakers.
They dont get themselves into free space or combine with other players ...to give their team mates an option to kick or handball to.
Our small forwards are constantly rushed and under pressure and put their team mates under pressure.
The Richmond small forwards run all over the ground, spread and combine beautifully with their midfielders and with each other.
Big difference.
He’s too good to be out of the play so much
Close to our most important player. When he’s on, so are we

Didn’t we miss a few goals in the second?
I thought we were battling hard in the second, but just kept turning it over at HB with abysmal kicking!
In the third we gave up

that was the worst of it. the team basically threw in the towel early in the third. really hard to watch.

We would have been 3 goals down at HT until Dunstan fumbled and Lynch got one with 6 secs to go
After HT we completely stopped ....... dead

Re: Match Thread Saints v Tigers Round 5 2021
What disappoints me the most was Richmond played the same as they have the last two years. No surprises. The same zone, the same arm free when tackled then move to the outside, the same defenders pushing forwards under the footy, the same Cotchin cheap shots, the same open fwd line, the same play on at all costs, the same tackle to force a stoppage, the same could go on but sure you get it.
What were the coaches doing this week!??

Re: Match Thread Saints v Tigers Round 5 2021
I personally saw a team very spent emotionally and physically. Comeback wins like last week can be very tolling, a 5 day break, ruck stock devastated, Dual Grand Finalists playing shite for weeks = we get flogged.
I think honestly, a good 9 day break will do the lads and we will see a competitive game against Port
