Thanks Ryder
Contracted on 3 times money than most people are on. Your decision to abandon the club when they needed you most had left us floundering.
Carlisle forced out of the back half leaves us exposed. Our mids have no chance at first use when a 3rd grade ruck is playing. You haven’t got much time left in the game and we threw you a lifeline his about paying us back.

Re: Thanks Ryder
Weak people are always looking for excuses I guess, and when the umpires favour us 23-13 you gotta go looking somewhere else!
Yep, Ryder was definitely the difference between 75 & 86 point losses and 2 wins...

Ryder has a obligation he committed to the club and is paid a lot to do it.
Ryder plays Carlisle goes back to Lynch Howard to Riewoldt.

Re: Thanks Ryder
Marshall and Ryder straighten us up - give us another marking option up forward and some further protection down back - also go a long way towards giving us first use and a dynamic presence around stoppages
They would be close to the most formidable ruck pairing in the league which no team would like come up against
It is pretty obvious they have been greatly missed - hopefully that changes next week

Can’t help think that the club has lost focus. Seems to me that we’re too invested in marginalised causes. It’s the trendy thing to do but the reality is that it’s a football club with the goal of winning flags. What’s the rainbow pride, down in the dumps, mysterious killer illness game next at Marvel?

Re: Thanks Ryder
It has hurt us
Marshall is basically hopeless
Carlisle was finally exposed tonight, and for whatever reason horrible forward.
Marshall going down has been more significant (considering we lost Paddy!)

Paddy was our best player last year in the lead up to the finals and in the finals.
I don't begrudge him making a short trip home in the off season.
But
- how long did he need to be away?
- why did he wait till the season was starting?
- has he heard of Skype?
- why when RoMo got injured did he not realise how critical he now was to our structure?
- why did he not train whilst he was away?
We are hearing that he is so out of condition that he is not able to even play at VFL level yet.
That just reeks of unprofessionalism.
Paddy was great for us in 2020.
But he has let us down badly in 2021.

I agree, but it just doesn't add up. Ratts, said he was on a program while away and came back in better nick than expected. Well he has been back 2 wks and not up to VFL game this week. And not expected back for 3-4 wks. What the hell.Enrico_Misso wrote: ↑Fri 16 Apr 2021 1:00amTotally agree.CURLY wrote: ↑Thu 15 Apr 2021 11:12pm Contracted on 3 times money than most people are on. Dear 1965 Saint,
FYI
Everyone involved at St Kilda wants us to win flags.
The St Kilda business however, is partly about virtue signalling.
Like me and many others you have probably lost some passion for the club and the game, but you must accept this. Also accept that supporters will sometimes belittle you & discredit your views, especially online.
At this stage however it is highly unlikely that the the club would cancel your membership, even if they find out that your beliefs are at odds with the club, eg. you believe that "marginalised causes" have nothing to do with footy.
To lose your membership you would probably need to be eg. clearly & visibly racist or homophobic, or actively campaigning against or belittling the Spud Frawley cause.
St Kilda still needs the financial support of you and thousands of others who have alternative views.
On another note don't forget also that our next match against Port Adelaide could have been held in Shanghai but for the pandemic. A year or two ago we were possibly seeking growth opportunities in China.
This does not appear to be the case now.
I'm not entirely sure whether the Saints, Port or the AFL have any focus on China now.

Re: Thanks Ryder
Curly, I hope you're feeling embarrassed by this post this morning. Paddy put in a solid pre season and spent some much needed time with his family after not seeing them for a long time. His absence is not the reasons we have lost.
