Re: Match Thread Saints v Tigers Round 5 2021
We are playing an inside stoppage game, and getting sliced up on the outside.
Selection
Crouch, Bytel, Ross, Dunstan, Steele all one paced inside Mids and not good kicks
Giving it straight back to Houli and Co
No Gresham No Jones and we are getting out run on the outside!

Re: Match Thread Saints v Tigers Round 5 2021
Can our forwards provide a lead? Missing a real ruck yet again. And some baffling umpiring calls. The last couple of minutes we looked better, but a combination of bad luck and some poor efforts didn't help. Plus they can just throw and drop it whenever they want.
In STKFC we trust.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Tigers Round 5 2021
I'm going to try & stay positive. There's a half to go & we can win but I'm in Adelaide & I can hear through the tv our crowd aren't intimidating. We groan & stay silent because we've lived it for too many years. We won last week because the players fed off the crowd. Crows supporters are always loud because they don't understand the game. I can see hills effort but in Adelaide the old granny ladies would cheer him when he jumped over a fallen player, we collectively go mmmm. Here's a tip ... You buggers are lucky that you get to go every week. Maybe for just once just freakin yell to intimidate the tigers even though McKenzie got holding the ball twice unfairly for at least making an effort. West coast crowd are the same & look what you did to them. Get loud !!!!

Pretty much out classed they move the ball on at all costs & have so many runners that use the ball well on the other hand we are predictable slow ball movement with average skills. I think the effort has been pretty good but just don't have the composure or skill level of the Tigers. It could get ugly just need to fly the flag & give it our best shot

WOW, another blinded by baubles. That's one of the stupidest posts ever. We are chocka block with inside mids & we select the worst of them to complete a Full House. I'd love Acres out there, he plays inside as well as outside, he draws tackles and puts the ball to advantage.desertsaint wrote: ↑Thu 15 Apr 2021 9:35pmputrid quarter indeed. but...Ghost Like wrote: ↑Thu 15 Apr 2021 9:31pm For anyone whoever suggests Luke Dunstan should play seniors for St Kilda or is the better "keeper" than Acres, please replay that 2nd Quarter...he's putrid!

Re: Match Thread Saints v Tigers Round 5 2021
What did he say?
2020 was an aberration, when we travelled twice to Adelaide and won both, beat Tigers early, beat our bogey Swans. 2021 we've returned to our old ways. Damn

Dunstan has got his hands on the ball, that has been a problem.

One team backs itself to win the ball and flood forward, the other is going slow and cant hit a target.

Nothing changes with Dunstan. Always been a terrible kick and fumbles below his knees far to much for a mid.

Some players playing incredibly well
Steele, Clark, Crouch, Wilkie
Some are poor
That is the difference

Re: Match Thread Saints v Tigers Round 5 2021
Tigers basically just sit off and wait for us to turn it over, then just waltz down the field...
