That 's the level of effort required every game every quarter.
And King has to lower his eyes and watch the ball onto his boot.

I'd seriously put him in our top 5 or thereabout tonight.

He really seemed to lead our comeback and did some really silky things as well as putting in his usual manic effort all night.

How good has our ruck been?

Carlisle has been amazing and Marshall has been at his usual standard after a long break.
Carlisle did an excellent job disrupting Nick Nat.

Max King had five goals and seemed to be involved in just about every other one we scored.

5 points for me.

I was happy to accept round 2 after the heavy track in Sydney. no-one could accept last weeks performance but, to their credit the boys turned it around and showed what we can achieve with effort , some of it wasn't pretty but they deserved the win. If they apply the same effort every week we can make it up the ladder I just wish we had a plan B as we seem to be so wasteful just bombing it forward all the time.

WCE were kicking their goals too easily in the first half ... we had to work a lot harder for our goals.
But, to our credit, we sustained our higher workrate right to the end, they wilted and we got the win we deserved.

What is it with Coffield's kicking.
He is a beautiful long kick but he has zero capability of kicking to a saints player within 30 metres.
Everytime I see him kick it to the opposition I shout Coffup at the TV.

Still think him and Clarke down in confidence
I’d drop Lonie just not sure who to bring in
Could Long go forward add pressure and some pace??

We lost the hitouts 36 to 19 (by 17), but won the clearances 35 to 24 (by 11).

So much for Natanui and his giant leap and laser-precision tap outs.

Darling gift
Ryan just blatant mistake
Cripps just a umpire wanting to be in the game

15-7 Eagles way as the norm
Well said re Cripps - plenty of players like that in the AFL.

Coffield was poor again today. I don’t mind player clangers from time to time, but when he chooses when to tackle or when to contest in the air, I think it’s time he had a spell

Just pointing out the facts.

Why is it so taboo to mention when the umpiring is going our way?

How good were the Saints today, I'm still buzzing!

The guys that let us down last week stepped up big time today and showed enormous character! I'd love to know what Ratts said at half time, it obviously worked...
