Re: Round 3 Game thread
I'd go as far as saying dollar for dollar, pound for pound this is the most insipid performance I've ever seen on every level
Bring back the Lockett era

Re: Round 3 Game thread
The issue at hand is lack of confidence in themselves and their team-mates. Every culture has this challenge, whether its losing keys players or adding new players that somehow shift the vibe or just a funk that settles in after a few defeats.
I feel its several things right now. We all have seen this group play great, but we are missing some strategic links.
Geary- his impact is so undervalued
Patton- he has the vibe of Geary being able to calm the backline but he was beyond Geary in skill and ability to see forward players to link with
Ryder- good tap work, overall play is solid, runs forward, tries to tackle and defend, takes marks and scores
Rowan- great ruck presence, good ground game, speed, tackling, smart like Ryder...got eyes on where the ball needs to go
Just these 4 players can supply first touch, rebound to advantage creating ops for Hill & co to run off....plus relieve defenders off King and Membrey pushing forward.
We are a good team, not great, but good and when we get all these lads back ( minus patton) we will seriously improve and confidence will bounce off the walls again.
I wish this weren't true but we've all seen it in every sport so many times, why get too down hearted?
Sure I gotta bitch & moan too and hate on players but getting real, Im going to stop.
Im sorry for my piss poor school boy whining on your posts. Im not that disappointed and I see a great team regardless of this game or season outcome.

Making Hooker and Stringer look like Carey and Lockett!
Any chance of man on man for a while?
I thought it was Richo who had no plan B!

Re: Round 3 Game thread
ok we have lost this game, we have lost to 2 ordinary teams...no finals this year.
I can't watch anymore...too depressing .. I was actually feeling sorry for Nth supporters..should have saved it for myself...again.
How can we be so crap after such good recruiting ?

There is no explanation to how we can fall apart this quickly.happy feet wrote: ↑Sat 03 Apr 2021 5:38pm We are getting manhandled everywhere and not getting called for it, but when we try the same tactics it’s free kick Drug Cheats.
What happened to a side that beat Doggies and Port last year???

Re: Round 3 Game thread
See what I see....
No Geary or Patton
Hill has played 100% in defense, only run 107 meters, less than avg.
Run is his game!
But he's stuck, no one to bounce the pill out to him so he can zip through the gaps and strike forwards on the move...
Everything is linked together, lose players, we lose ball movements, we lose morale then we lose games

Re: Round 3 Game thread
Their key forward is involved in marking contest, drops the mark in a crowd and gets his own crumbs and then has time to just turn and find a target inside 50.
Done with this nonsense.
Done with this nonsense.
This was my father's belief
And this is also mine:
Let the corn be all one sheaf--
And the grapes be all one vine,
Ere our children's teeth are set on edge
By bitter bread and wine.

Re: Round 3 Game thread
Our players aren't hungry, not interested, maybe it's too hot for them. What a waste of money on Hill, Crouch, Butler, Higgins and Jones would have been better drafting kids. We fell into the trap thinking we are better than we are and recruited average players. Now Gresham probably out for the majority of the season. Forget about finals, the only four we're making is the bottom four.
Think of me long enough to make a memory.
