Gee thats a bit hard....in 1873 the Saints football club formed with the saints crictketers and the South Yarra football club...

But if your are talking about 1887...

We joined forces with University in 1875, bu;t I have no idea what happened later..

Good question .....

I know:

In 1875, St Kilda merged with University halfway through the season as both Clubs were struggling badly. "St Kilda-cum-University" was no better than either Club on its own, losing every match and reappearing in thier own rightws in 1876.

And:

In 1888, St Kilda was ordered to merge with neighbor (and rival) Pahran in a bid to rid the 20+ team competition of unwieldiness. More of a takeover than a merger, as St Kilda kept its own name, colours (apart from the teams knickerbockers changing to the blue of Pahran) and ground, and we got thier very best players. The Pahran team were invited back into the VFA in 1899 after the competition was crippled by the founding of the VFL 2 years earlier.

OK, new question:

St Kildas "human tank" of the 1950's, Eric Guy, once knocked out which legend of the game in what round and year?

The player knocked out by Eric Guy was Bob Skilton.
I'm thinking 1959 R8?

OK (lucky guess on the game).

Here's a Q that may test some:

What (Saints) event occurred only in 1966 and 2004?

Which two players on the current list, unrelated, actually lived together briefly before they became teammates?

Whoa - "on the right track" B W and R all over - not "got it right - next Q"

However, seeing you've already asked the next Q, the answer to the previous Q was:

In 1966 and 2004 we were unbeaten at our home grounds.

Over to you - next Q!!

No problems... that's cool. It wasn't on purpose. :)

...don't know the answer to your Q though...

Fergus Watts and Jim Watts.

OK, they are related and Jim Watts isn't on the list but I bet they lived together before either of them were associated with the Saints.

For a serious guess:
Barry Brooks and Allan Murray (probably not related)

Nup. I meant teammates at all, so don't think about blokes who played together at a different club.

These two guys lived together before they were teammates anywhere

Goddard and McQualter might have been at boarding school together.

Nope, just cause they are aboriginal doesn't mean they lived together.
