Doulton Langlands signed to Perth Footy Club
I think Perth Footy Club is where Clint Jones went.
They're called 'The Demons' and they wear red n black like the Bombers.
Jus thought I'd mention it

He should have signed with East Perth, then he could have been a Royal Doulton

It’s my local team in the next suburb to me. Their ground Lathlain Park is where the Eagles training facility is, which is rather super dooper. Though I must admit I was a protester when it was being constructed, as 96 mature trees, some over 100 years old were bulldozed to make way for the facilities. It was very sad as it was a feeding area for the black cockatoos. Alas my protesting came to naught and the Eagles & Perth Football Club development went ahead, & the poor black cockatoos had to find a new feeding spot..... sadly that’s the way of our world, yes to development, no to the environment and our endangered species.WellardSaint wrote: ↑Tue 15 Dec 2020 7:25pm I think Perth Footy Club is where Clint Jones went.

I had to go to a physiotherapist yesterday as I had hurt my neck. The physio is a physio with the Perth Football Club. We were talking about what a great season they had, first time in the finals for 23 years. She told me, the players returned to training in early December in really tip top condition, they were so inspired by their season this year it really made them realise the rewards only come with hard work. They don’t want to be WAFL cellar dwellers any longer, they want to be a feared finals team. Let’s hope our young Saints have that attitude after their taste of finals footy this season.
I have another appointment with the physio this afternoon. I’ll ask her about Doulton Langlands.
Yes Clint Jones did play for them. Also that lad called White (cant recall his first name). Some on here incorrectly called him the ‘next Buddy Franklin’ and were always whinging that he wasn’t getting games....... didn’t do too well at Perth either!!!!

If he can improve his kicking he could definitely be a player.
His current foot skills are sub AFL standard and that does not bode well with Ratten.

I don't think you want a crack in your Doulton.

Significant hype generated by the fan base reaching almost mythic levels about their potential stardom.

Re: Doulton Langlands signed to Perth Footy Club
Loris, great post as always.
Last I heard, Spencer White was advertising his services as a Personal Trainer.
Not sure what else he has going career-wise.
I share your disappointment over tree destruction.
I'm reminded of the time I attended a local council meeting once, out of curiosity.
A resident was facing a $22k fine for felling a tree on his own land (5 hectares), which he had been advised by a specialist was dying and a hazard, and which council had been stalling on a decision about the felling.
6 mths later, me and my then partner driving past crown land, were stunned at the sight of heavy machinery felling furiously.
New housing development approved by same council.
Literally hundreds of trees ended up as timber.
The locals had been quite vocal about the loss of habitat for your cockatoos, other birdlife, quenda bandicoots, etc.
Incredible hypocrisy at play.
Unbelievable

Yes, Spencer White was hawking himself around as a fitness trainer when his career at Perth FC was a failure. I don’t think the personal training career lasted that long, not in my area at any stage! For awhile you saw promotional material in you letter box or in our local paper, but then zilch. I maybe wrong and he is very successful at his career as a personal trainer & he doesn’t need to advertise. However I don’t think so, I think he was only blessed with a stunning looking athletic body and that’s where it ended.WellardSaint wrote: ↑Thu 17 Dec 2020 1:55pm Loris, great post as always.

Re: Doulton Langlands signed to Perth Footy Club
I've known 3 co-workers who spent $5k or so, to get qualified as fitness trainers.
They didn't really do well so gave up and went into the insurance industry.
