Ideally I would like to see Marshall as a permanent forward to partner King. It can happen most of the time as long as Ryder stays injury free, but it can't really happen all the time because it's asking too much of Ryder to play ruck all game every game. I'd also like to see Battle become a permanent forward rather than a "mister fixxit" because you could risk losing him down the track if he's unhappy with not having permanent role. Hopefully Alabakis comes good to replace Ryder when he's injured / needs a rest.

Here goes, "round 3 team":

B: Callum Wilkie, Dougal Howard (vc), Ben Paton

HB: Ben Long, Jake Carlisle, Nick Coffield

C: Bradley Hill, Brad Crouch, Zak Jones

HF: Josh Battle, Rowan Marshall, Dan Butler

F: Jade Gresham, Max King, Jack Higgins

FOLL: Paddy Ryder, Jack Steele (c), Hunter Clark

I/C: Dan Hannebery, Tim Membrey, Jack Bytel, Jack Sinclair

Emergencies: Geary, Billings, Dunstan, Roberton

Crouch to come in for when avaliable. Most likely for Bytel or sinclair
Plus here's hoping that Tom Highmore can come in an make an immediate impact like Wilkie

It’s more a kick up the backside. Want him to earn his place and increase his impact on games.

To be fair, based on his last game it's possible he could be dropped for round 1.

No chance. Elite ball user that get the defensive wing or half back.

Very reluctant to drop a player like Sinclair from the side....I reckon he is about to go right off

Geary and Ross are both certain to play if fit. Bytel is almost certain not to play, barring an injury to one of the regular midfielders.

Sinclair's place is definitely under challenge, but I'd like to think there'd be room for him. I very much doubt that Dunstan will be picked ahead of him.

His 'ITK' is convinced there will be a very late appeal on the Crouch suspension and he'll be right for Rd 1.

He's never wrong.

How good does our midfield look now.

We are currently $18 for the 2021 flag.

Inviting huh.

You needn't listen to me, but I can say Ive talked to coaches, Ive watched Alabaskis, he has potential but as I said weeks ago the "dream" is that he comes on strong and rucks a full season in the vfl with late season emergency in seniors. But its at best 20-30% likely.

He's not ready to replace Ryder or anyone if we get in a pinch.

Go watch him practice.

Disregarding the Crouch suspension, I think this is our senior and reserve squad

B: Paton, Howard, Wilkie
HB: Coffield, Carlisle, Long
C: Hill, Steele, Jones
HF: Billings, Marshall, Gresham
F: Butler, King, Membrey

Foll: Ryder, Crouch, Clark
Int: Battle, Hannebery, Higgins, Ross

B: Highmore, Frawley, Geary
HB: Roberton, Clavarino, Webster
C: Sinclair, Bytel, McKenzie
HF: Kent, Allison, Connolly
F: Lonie, McKernan, Joyce

Foll: Alabakis, Dunstan, Byrnes

The starting 22 is the best we've had in a long, long time. Depth in most areas is okay but I'm sure we'll be bringing in more players as needs arise due to injury throughout the season. Can't see us making it through the year without picking up another rickman.
