Draft night
It looks like Josh Bruce is being squeezed out already with another marking forward going to the Dogs.
We’ve already been bumped down to pick 22.

Re: Draft night
Someone needs to explain to me how this works, did the Dogs effectively jump from pick 29 (round 2) to 1??

Re: Draft night
The draft has become a sham.
How is the average AFL fan supposed to take this nonsense seriously?

Re: Draft night
The Dogs used picks 29, 33, 41, 42, 52, 54 to match the bid, while getting picks 61, 119, 120, 121 and 122 in return.

Re: Draft night
Have we seriously not made it to pick 22 yet 90 odd minutes after the draft went live?

The draft would turn the most practised insomniac into Rip Van Winkle. Tedious.
The only value in it for us is if the men in white coats come and take SaintPelican66 away. Fingers crossed!

I'm going to pour a draught. Far better than putting up with the BS of the draft.

Re: Draft night
About 15 minutes ago I told my wife we have to turn off the show we were watching because the Saints have the next pick. It looks like another 10 minutes at least.

Re: Draft night
The Giants took 5 minutes, bid on McInnes, took another 5 minutes, traded the pick to Collingwood, who have bid on Blake Coleman. This pick is never going to happen.
EDIT: For future historians, after Brisbane matched the bid, Collingwood then traded the pick to Adelaide, who finally used it on Brayden Cook. We then, finally, were able to draft Matthew McLeod-Allison, in accordance with the prophecy, who would go on to be part of several St Kilda premierships. Roll credits.

Re: Draft night
so we get pick 21 in the draft and end up with pick 28 while the Bulldogs have pick 15 and and up with pick one. This is a truly ridiculous system that we have been negatively impacted by
