Re: Carlisle re-signs (Tom Browne; Tom Browne ...)
Am I crazy or is it really odd that there's been no official announcement about Jake yet?

Re: Carlisle re-signs (Tom Browne; Tom Browne ...)
He was over the border in NSW for the birth so maybe has waited till the border opened( today) to come back to Melbourne.
I presume he would need to be back at RSEA park to sign in person.

Good point hadn't thought of that. Hoepfully we hear something soon.longtimesaint wrote: ↑Mon 23 Nov 2020 5:39pm He was over the border in NSW for the birth so maybe has waited till the border opened( today) to come back to Melbourne.

When I signed a lease on my rental, and signed my tax return from my accountant, I used 'Docusign' to sign each one.longtimesaint wrote: ↑Mon 23 Nov 2020 5:39pm He was over the border in NSW for the birth so maybe has waited till the border opened( today) to come back to Melbourne.

I could've been on a beach in Thailand on a laptop and signed it.

This thread is hilarious
Player agents have power of attorney over their players - they are able to sign documents on behalf of players if they are unavailable (or at the very worst, to vouch for a shoddy PDF scan of a contract signed via a mobile phone).

So what do you think the explanation for the delay is?

Maybe they need the Pelican's countersignature but of course a Pelican can't hold a pen so now everything is in limbo

Maybe Carlisle is still weighing up Hawthorn's offer.
The first delisted free agent window opens on Thursday, i expect a bit of action then, Frawley, McDonald and others.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Snake told me 2 weeks ago that he signed a 1 year contract and that if he plays 25 games next year he can trigger a second year.

No, just 22 home and away games and 3 finals. Safe to say we don't want him triggering a second year.Wayne42 wrote: ↑Tue 24 Nov 2020 7:35pmDoes that 25 include practice matches and intra club games ?SaintPelican66 wrote: ↑Tue 24 Nov 2020 7:23pmSnake told me 2 weeks ago that he signed a 1 year contract and that if he plays 25 games next year he can trigger a second year.

He told me he was weighing up going back to Essendon for a $2m, 3yr deal.SaintPelican66 wrote: ↑Tue 24 Nov 2020 7:36pmNo, just 22 home and away games and 3 finals. The catch was he had to come out in a trench coat with a broomstick up his clacker and dance while the crowd sang 'Jack the Peg' as their pre-game song. Oh, and there was something about a vitamin supplement program......

But will Peggy Sue be picked. Was he left out of the first games in 2020? I think Battle as too. Lonie maybe also. North Melbourne game, I’m thinking. So Jake the peg, has been left out at least twice in 2020 and it may be more often in 2021, you might think.CQ SAINT wrote: ↑Wed 25 Nov 2020 7:51amHe told me he was weighing up going back to Essendon for a $2m, 3yr deal.SaintPelican66 wrote: ↑Tue 24 Nov 2020 7:36pmNo, just 22 home and away games and 3 finals.
