Banger is 49 years old. It's now or never.
He may struggle to play midfield all day, but could rest at half forward
Would need to undergo two years of quarantine and decontamination.
Real quarantine not in a hotel managed by security guards.

North show all the signs of losing control of their destiny. Would not be surprised to see them relocated to Tasmania or fold. If sent to Tassie all admin coaching appointments will be made by AFL. AFL already have Lions, Suns, GWS and Swans as its special wards now, if North are added we could be moving to a stage where there can be 4 conference competitions: AFL Admin Sides (special needs) vs Victorian Teams vs WA vs SA teams. The strategic direction and use of money by the AFL Admin/Commission is really concerning to me in regards to sustainability of teams (don't mention how the game is officiated). GWS and Suns are money pits, big membership clubs dominate with multiple GF wins and finals appearances - so much for an even comp (e.g. in reality we have four final positions available plus spots taken by Geelong, Richmond, Eagles and an SA side). And I asked you not to bring up how the game is officiated: that includes the silly draw, MRO (arbitrary joke), score reviews and field umpiring. To consider coaching North right now a person would have to be desperate for opportunities and that net ball lady dodged a bullet - or Tassie devil. She might turn out to be the best willing candidate.
If you look up the term, "Poisoned Chalice" in the book of colloquialisms, there's a copy of the application Form for the North Melbourne coaching job. Please, Banger. Don't do it. Don't stain your amazing legacy.
If alcohol can damage your short term memory, imagine what damage alcohol could do.
Hope Harvey gets the chance to coach he has lived through what north are at the moment no one else has the same experience As Harvey.
good luck Harvey.
Only problem is the media will eat alive any new north coach.

if harvs coaches them, watch them win the flag in a few years, right about the same time we sack ratten and look for someone else.

Has always deserved a premiership flag.

Does Harvs have any sort of relationship with Ratten?
They are the same age and played at the same period (Harvs longer at both ends, but both long careers)
It’s totally romantic but having Harvs at Moorabin for our burgeoning midfield brigade...yeah.
As for North.
They’ve been on the edge of reality (thanks Elvis) before. Imagine North in the 1950s and 60s? That’s only the beginning.
-34 years to win their first flag - in the VFA!
-begged to join the VFL in 1897, refused time and time again.
-Lost grounds, in desperation merged with Essendon after WW1, only for the rug to be pulled out of the deal at last minute...
Their whole history is one of second-class citizenry and impoverishment. I think they’ll survive, and I hope they do. And I absolutely hated them for all my life as a footy fan...
I associated their victories in the mid late 70s with theft and corruption...like Packer cricket or something..of course naive , but anyway..
I think their fans will hold it together.
They offered to merge with Fitzroy, which would have been a compromise but at least had soul in it. Instead, the beastly machine that is ten AFL went Brisbane ‘lions’...lest we forget.
North survives I would say. If Harvs gets the gig...good luck to him.

Harvey might have saved Rattens position at Carlton by knocking back a massive offer in the early 90's.

not many on here would begrudge him.
Or he could ruin his reputation like Tim Watson did, not sure Banger’s a senior coach
