So Essendon want Caldwell and Hind in the PSD.
Clarkson gets to pick ahead of Dildo.
Caldwell has to nominate his terms and conditions.
Any club willing to meet those can take him.
Just as with the main draft you go where the draft takes you.
One condition Caldwell can not include is a $200k job for his Dad.
In effect Clarko can take Caldwell for 200k less than the total package offered by Essendon.
Would Clarko forgo such a bargain.
Caldwell may get to Essendon the following year but Clarko will demand a first round draft pick.
Dildos are for screwing.
The more you know, the more you know you don't know.

Treat Essendope the way they treat us at the trade table. Ask for a second round pick irrespective of Hind’s worth. We owe that cheating sh!t stain of a club absolutely nothing.
Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

Id be happy to go with that... we'd have the full support of 16 other clubs too!

Hind is the most overrated player on this forum in my humble opinion.
He wasn't deemed good enough to get a game in the finals and is behind whipping boys Kent & Lonie in the pecking order.
He has some breakaway speed but he's not super quick at all and a very decent depth player, but hes certainly a fair way off best 22 IMO.
I call bulls***, have you read the s*** people continually write about how good Lonie is?
Neither are good enough to be in a premiership team IMO.
Lonie is a C grader @ best and has little upside at 24 after 76 games.
Hind is a D grader at very best and at 26 with very little upside IMO.
Lonie is clearly superior to Hind haven been chosen in the two finals ahead of Hind.
Really Kent, Hind & Lonie are all fringe AFL at best IMO.
Good analysis.
There is no shame in being a C grader in the AFL.
Lonie will be a depth player if we land Higgins.
Couldn't agree more, I'm a Jack Lonie fan and for his size and athletic limitations he's a gun.
There is some decent talent that wont fit into the best 22 next year:
My best 22 - if they stay fit and play well that team could be top 4.
Paton Howard Wilkie
Long Carslile Coffield
Hill Crouch Clark
Billings Marshall Gresham
Membrey King Butler
Ryder Steele Jones
Battle Hannebery Ross Higgins
EMG: Sinclair Dunstan Lonie Marsh Geary Kent Phillips Roberton Savage Bytel Byrnes Webster McKernan
Can't find a spot for last years captain in my starting 22
Leadership group: Steele Howard Membrey Billings Wilkie Marshall
Proudly assuming the title of forum Oracle and serving as the inaugural Saintsational ‘weak as piss brigade’ President.
I agree with an earlier post that Hind has more strings to his bow than Lonie. Maybe he could be developed on a half back flank as they’ve successfully done with Ben Long. His pace is a real asset.
But given Essendon has now formally expressed interest and the club probably needs to be prudent with its list, then it’s now probable he’ll be traded on.

Fair team. The only change I’d make to that is Sinclair for Ross. Modern footy is about ball retention as much as anything else - you simply cannot afford to give it back when you get it. Sincs may not get it as much as Ross; but he’ll not give it back when he gets it either.

Essendon demanded pick 8 from Carlton for Saad yet only offering us a 4th round pick (approx pick 60) for Hind..
Both players scored 2 votes in the Brownlow...
Although he's 26 and behind Lonie and Kent, the fact is he's good for depth and really, chances of finding a player as good in this particular draft at pick 60 is unlikely..

Geary will play. People need to accept that.
I can accept it if his form warrants it but not if he gets a game just because he is the captain. I personally think he should have pulled the pin at the end of the year . Has been a stalwart but IMO if we are to get to the next level I don't think we can afford to have Geary is in our best 22

Ahhh, the age old argument. Does he get a game because he is best 22? Because he is Captain? Because of his endeavour?
If he is not Captain, does he still get a game?
Whether he is Captain or not Gershwin, who does he replace in JB's best 22?
At best he is back up for Paton & Long or a small forward if we identify a half back that needs to be made accountable.
Like Ross being out of our starting midfield I see this as a good thing for St Kilda. Our true, honest soldiers are no longer the ones we rely on, they add to our strength without being expected to be a strength.
Geary offers outstanding leadership, commitment, desperation and inspiration. Clearly he is not showy like a Hill or Billings. He was the ONLY ONE to remonstrate with Cotchin after Jones was dumped.
I'm not sure how you put a value on those attributes but I am guessing that in a team game which requires bravery and leading by example it is highly valued. As long as he doesn't leave us exposed from a football point of view (and he didn't this year) I would play him ahead of Hannebery and Ross and if they don't pull their fingers out - Hill and Billings.
Hind was. Half back flanker when he was under the dopers .. I would keep him
Just to piss Ddorio off
I used to be supersaints but after 16 years my profile dissapeared... ??? if I make any reference to past posts .. it will be under supersiants.. glad to be back on line

If they are offering a 4th round pick keep him.
We probably won't even use a 4th rounder this year.
Hind to me is the kind of player who probably plays better in a good team and I think we are going to be pretty strong next year.
No way we use a 4th rounder this year.
We will probably only take the mandatory one pick.
Picks 64 and 77 are very unlikely to be used.
Most clubs will be passing at that point this year.
If we trade it must be for a future (2021) pick.

Gone for pick 52 evidently.
We got Butler for 56. So is a good price for us.
We picked up hind for pick 54 in the 2018 draft.
We need to quickly export picks 54 and 64 for a future pick.
Not much use if only required to use on pick in the draft.
